Did they fire a musket while you were there? We visited several years ago and it sounded more like a cannon than a modern rifle.

Today in Boston. It will be so nice to be on a X cruise again!

Alaska is about Nature. It is beautiful. The Med is about Culture. You realize nothing in the USA is old. (except some Native American sites) You can see Alaska in one or two visits. Europe requires many visits. Best cruises are Med, Baltic and coast of of Norway.

Ha, one of our 70 YO cruise mates kind of lost it on our March/April Regent Med Cruise. It was the the ships first time to sail since Covid and there were all kinds of problems. The worst was the lack of employees. They explained that many expected people were not allowed to leave their country or enter Italy. Almost all employees were new.The dinner was so slow. It was 8 pm before they served it, and everyone was served almost at the same time. When we finished our friend (who has been on only one cruise about 20 years ago) stopped the waitress as we were walking out and loundly told her "that was the worst service I have ever had". He wouldn't stop until I said "Joe, you are complaining to the wrong person. The restaurant manager has an office nearby, and he will listen to you like he will listen to others tonight." He did not speak with the restaurant manager, but about an hour later we recieved a call in our cabin, and it was the restaurant manager. He gracefully opologized. My DW told him that we were not the one's so upset. She gave him the cabin number of of friends. To be clear, it was a miserable dinner that evening. Still, that cruise the best food we have had at sea. Everything improved daily. The workers wanted to learn their job and please their customers.

Our only visit other than US is Canada. Will Canada also accept the rapid NAAT test? Walgreens and CVS have stopped providing antigen test in Nashville.

We have the premium beverage package. I've never ordered a cocktail without booze. Is there a list? Any that are not sweet? Does X usually have Heinekein Non-alc? We will be sailing from Boston on a NE/Canada cruise in a week.

Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories of our cruise around Iceland 4-5 years ago. Iceland is still my favorite place for natural beauty. One minute you are looking at a beautiful waterfall, and the next at a volcano. Love the gardens this time of year, although very late in the season in Akureyr. 20 hours of sunlight does wonders.

That is a common occurance there. It happened to us a few years ago.

Thanks, we don't want to go on a cruise, and have cabin that we are unhappy with. The only time that has happened was when we had an adjoining cabin, and the people in the other cabin thought it was ok to smoke. That was quickly taken care of.

HAL also has cruises that sail a very similar route. It is a route that we use to escape the horrible heat and humidity of the SE US during July and August. I think all the mainstream lines have a similar route now.

Is it possible to bid on a Celebrity Suite, and exclude Deck 9 suites? I bid on one, and was showing pending, but I'd rather not "move up" than be in a deck 9 Celebrity Suite. My understanding is that you cannot not accept a move up cabin after you are notified that you have it?

Oops, WE are in a Sky Suite. Sounds like cafe Baciao is the place to go. We have sailed on X about 10 times, but not since 2017 0r 18?. I recall visiting the coffee shop every morning.

We will be in a Retreat cabin if that makes a difference. We prefer a dark roast coffee shop coffee. No latte, etc. How do we need to order coffee to get similar to a dark roast?

Thanks, I did not see it there, but found it eventually. We changed cabins a day or two ago, but our TA did not send a confirmation. The new cabin number is correct, but the luggage tags are the old cabin number. I'll get new luggage tags at the pier.

When I login to Celebrity our reservation comes up, but I cannot find our Retreat cabin number anywhere. I am also getting all kinds of offers for internet upgrade and drink package upgrade. Is there a problem?

As someone on our roll call for the Summit 8-31-22 Canada/NE cruise posted. It will probably be effective on Septemeber 1, 2022.

Yeah, sometimes I find the speaker's talk interesting, sometimes not. Ha, your partner might love a lecture that you find boring and vice versa. You have a couple of interesting cruises coming up.

I suspect we will arrive around 11. We are staying nearby at the Hampton Inn Seaport . It's hard to say when things will get crowded. I believe most people are concerned about flight cancellations and will arrive a day early so there might be a log jam before lunch?

Great and an appropriate beginning for this cruise. We want this to be our lobster roll cruise. We have been on this cruise or similar on HAL, X and Princess. Our last trip was our "Lobster cruise" where we went to a different restaurant at lobster for lunch at each port. Lobster rolls this time. I might actually eat a different food from the ocean. Lobster every day for DW.

I am looking at a page that I printed when we booked a Sky Suite on Summit, and it says we have both of these for our Boston NE/Canada cruise. What does each mean. Priority check-in Anytime? checkin? 11 AM? I think I could only get 12:30 when I received an email requesting that I schedule embarkation. I couldn't find that when I went to the X website and signed in. Stream wi-fi , Is this the best? will we need to upgrade use two devices? Any info appreciated. We last sailed on X to Aus/NZ in 2017. We miss it.
