  1. the cartel violence in central america has been known for YEARS. If this continued to be a concern, NCL could have made changes to itinerary MONTHS ago. I booked Aug 2024 so I am sure NCL already planned to make these changes; I would not have booked this cruise with this updated itinerary. Note they sited "fuel efficiency" as the reason for these changes; not cartel violence.
  2. NCL continues to make major changes to cruise itineraries for "fuel efficiency" i.e. to save themselves money by cheating their customers out of the experience they paid for. We are booked on the Jewel Nov 7 2024 Panama Canal cruise. They dropped FIVE of the 7 ports on the west coast. And the newest itinerary change no longer shows a DAYLIGHT transit of the Panama Canal. We will leave Panama City at 10pm to get in line for the Locks and do not know what time we will be assigned so it maybe during the day OR it could be at nights. After the passenger revolt on the Feb 2024 Antarctica cruise that got national news attention, you would think NCL would stop with, what feels like, BAIT AND SWITCH. I will not be booking NCL in the future.
