  1. Back from the Grandeur of the seas sailing from 1-23-17 to 2-4-17 and I've recovered from my post cruise depression so I'll be glad to answer any questions.

Hope you enjoyed your cruise, I do have a couple of questions.

Do you know if they are allowing people to bring on there own case of water, would like tie be able to just put a luggage tag on it and drop off with luggage?

Is the show in the main theater done once or twice on the first night?

Thank you in advance for any info.

  2. My family is cruising to Bermuda from Manhattan in June and I'm looking for some advice. I've read back a bunch of pages in the East Coast departures and my head is spinning from all the different possibilities.

We are driving from Buffalo. Because of work schedules I'm pretty sure we won't be able to leave until the early morning of the cruise. It's about a 6-7 hour drive. I'm debating either sucking it up and paying for the convenience of parking right at the pier(or a parking lot close by?).or the possibility of saving enough money to make it worthwhile enough(while still being semi convenient)to park at Weehawken and taking the ferry over? What am I actually paying for the ferry parking? Is it actually a savings once you pay for the ferry?

Am I missing any other options? I'm open to anything on the convenient side. We will have an 18month old with us as well. So convenience/semi convenience is important.

    Thanks!

I would recommend using Park Right for parking. It is only a five minute walk from the ship. We drop our luggage off and then park and walk back to ship, very simple. They will also drop you off at the ship if you prefer.

The cost was only about $20 a day, we used an discount code that they gave us over the phone if we wanted to book online.

  3. Did anybody park at the "Park Right" location in Manhattan for a duration of the cruise? I am looking for reviews. Thanks!

We had used them and were very happy for the price. We dropped our luggage off at the terminal first and then parked at their location, and then walked back to the ship. The walk only took about 6 or 7 minutes tops, very easy. On the way back we just dragged our luggage with us, again very easy walk. I would use them again for the savings.

  4. We are blessed to be leaving on the Regal Princess this Saturday 10/22 out of the Brooklyn Cruise Port, never sailed from there so I have a simple question.

We will becoming up 95 from Pennsylvania and was wondering if there was any bad traffic construction or tricky areas to watch for as we get close to the port.

Thank you in advance for any info.

  5. We just booked a 7 night Bermuda cruise on the NCL Breakaway out of NYC. I'm researching parking options and found a coupon for the terminal parking garage for 25% off on the NCL Gem. Would we be able to use this coupon even though we'll be on a different ship?

Does anyone have any alternative suggestions? Thanks

We used Park Right the last time we went on the Breakaway. Thought it was a good alternative, I believe it cost us around 25 a day. It is a easy 5 minute walk to the ship. Called them first and asked if they had a promo code to use for online booking discount and they gave us one.

  6. So our cruise is six weeks out today and the fares are lower now, even a mini suite is lower.

My friend called Princess and tried to get rebooked at a cheaper fare or upgraded to a mini and Princess said "no it's too late" I'm not surprised, but he is mad as hell and says he'll never book Princess again.

He also said Carnival would do it. Is this true? I have never cruised with them before would they actually do this?

I would try again at Princess, maybe with a different person, as we just repriced a cruise after final payment and within a month of sailing and had no problem at all.

  7. We are going on the Regal Princess in a few weeks and just had a few simple questions about the coffee card.

Do you have to use it in just one particular place, like the coffee shop, or can it also be used in the main dining room, bars, etc?

Do they have fusion or specialty iced teas also, or is it just hot teas?

Can it be used for gelato (I heard on some ships you can) and if so is it still just count as one punch?

Is it much of a savings over there regular price if we were to just purchase specialty coffee without the card, what would be a price for a large drink?

It has been a few years since sailing on Princess, do they still offer the expresso or cappuccino complementary in the dining rooms or is just complementary coffee?

Thank you in advance for any information.

  8. Using "Park Right" is a very good option we used and recommend it.

They are only a 5 minute walk from the ship and you save quite a bit of money, parking rates in New York are ridiculous in my opinion.

Earlier this year we used them and if I remember we paid about $25 a day, called them first to see if they had any online promo codes, and they did give us one which saved a us a little more for booking on line.

They are simple to use, you can either drop off your luggage at the ship and drive over, drop off your car and then walk the five minutes back, super easy or you can also go there first and they will shuttle you to the ship in your car and drop you off. the walk to the ship is very easy and quick.

  9. We are on the next sailing of the Anthem of Seas and have a few simple questions:

Am I able to just put a luggage tag on a case of water and drop it of with the rest of the luggage?

Am I able to just put a luggage tag on a case of soda and drop it of with the rest of the luggage?

Are there check-in personnel in the parking garage also?

What time do they usually start letting people actually board the ship?

Is there anything within walking distance when you dock in Port Canaveral?

How difficult is the Puzzle Break Room, do most people make it?

Thanks in advance for any information.

  10. It is possible to combine military rates and military OBC promotion at the same time. This can also be combined with whatever a TA is offering.

As far the military rate from the RCCL they should offer you the lowest of whatever promotion is available such as resident. past guest , military etc..

We just saved on our booking over 400.00 with the military rate plus received an extra 150.00 military rate OBC.

  11. Hello, we are going on the Splendor and have a few simple questions.

Do they allow you to bring on cases of water/soda with just a luggage tag attached?

Do they still serve lobster in the main dining room?

With the New England/Canada stops (Boston, Portland, Halifax, St. Johns) are you able to get just get o the ship and walk around?

Is breakfast and lunch still use the same brunch liners comedy menu?

Any don't miss things to do on the Splendor?

    Thanks for any info.
