We usually book aft cabins, on the Radiance class ships you can't beat sitting on your balcony looking at the wake! I'm retired now but when I was working I took a video on my phone of the sound and the view of the wake. Whenever I was stressed I'd bring up that video and instant relaxation! 😍🍷

On our cruise in March we were at our gate before 9:30. Our flight wasn't till 1:00 so we sat for a loooong time! Lol There was no one in line for immigration we had first class and we have tsa pre check. All that being said I would do nothing before 11:00 in San Juan.

That scam has been going on for some time now. And I guarantee you that RCI knows all about it. Not that they implement it....could be the crew members trying to adjust shortages (hoping you won't notice or won't bother to deal with it) or simply other passengers or crew walking into your now vacated and open cabin to help themselves.
Has happened to me many times, and each time I call CS to have it refunded, reminding them that this has been happening far too many times, and I am certainly not the only one.
I was thrilled to see the new policy of not filling the mini bar now, except why leave those bottles in there? If you are dying of thirst, you can ask the cabin attendant to keep fresh glasses and ice in your cabin for free. I guess it was a last ditch attempt to keep the scam going somehow.
When I left Serenade last month, I put a note in the fridge next to the bottles that were untouched in there. "Did not use these, never touched them, please....no mysterious charges after I leave". And there wasn't. ;)
I like that idea, I'm going to leave a note also and see what happens! We were charged for water once during the cruise, talked to GS twice and said they would reverse the charges and never did.

Zac Brown- Where the boat leaves from! Great song!

We are booked on the Allure in Boardwalk Balcony # 12329, which is the very last cabin over looking the high dive show. Has anyone had trouble with noise from the high dive shows? I booked this room without thinking about the noise factor because we have stayed in Promenade cabins before with no trouble but then again they don't host dive show in the Promenade!!!!
We had 12729 and it was quite noisy, a Celine Concert was playing on the big screen one night till 1am! I personally wouldn't book it again but the noise might not bother you.

Do you remember the name of the entertainer at the pub? We love hanging out there!
-
Graham Seymour was our favorite! We went on this cruise when he was the CD with two other couples and he was so funny, we took our last names and made up British sounding names and talked with a British accent. This was in 2009 and we still use our British names when we talk to each other! I know you had to be there as it's not as funny on paper! 😜

Each evening there was a singer in the pub and in the schooner bar. Both were always full. We sat for the schooner one night but walked by the pub each night. It was standing room only in the pub.
Thank you for the info!

Did they have a singer in the pub? I heard there wasn't one in the cruises at the end of 2016.

Nicole, Is there sun out on the balcony at all? It looks so closed in.
Check out this website as it has pictures of this cabin.

We have done both Cosol and Spenser. We made it back with 5 minutes to spare with Spenser, our driver was weaving into oncoming traffic around cars to get us back in time, very scary. I would never book him again.

I am beyond excitement about retiring in 46 working days (imagining what I will do with all of the waking hours that are currently devoted to work) and moving (sorting, packing, buying things for the new house). Four weeks later we are sailing on the Majesty (a small, older ship that we have enjoyed several times previously) and I still feel the excitement of a cruise in the future. You are absolutely right, there is nothing else like it.
I retired in November after 40 years with my company, and yes I started when I was 2!😉 It is the best! We go on my retirement cruise in six weeks. We've had this cruise booked for almost two years, I get that excited feeling all the time when I think about it. Of course it wasn't my retirement cruise when we booked as I made that decision only a few months before I retired.

We've docked at both. On Adventure we were at the bigger pier in town and on Serenade we've been across the harbor and another time right in town. Your tour guide will know which pier you're at.

We usually leave the hotel at about 10:00 to 10:30 depends on the port. We love getting there early as I'm so excited as is everyone in line! I usually make friends in line and end up seeing them on and off the whole cruise.:D

We had a Bw balcony on Allure and loved the view, we love aft balconies! But(there always is a but) the BW balcony was very noisy even with the door closed. Don't get me wrong I like Celine Dion but at 1:00am not so much! They were playing her concert and no one was there! My husband finally called guest services to complain and they finally turned it off! Lol We had an OV on deck 9 on Allure in October and loved it. The big plus of an OV is you don't have to keep your curtain closed all the time so people can't see in your cabin. If you can change I would. Whatever you choose, choose to have a great time and you will!:)

You can call RCI directly and add onboard credit to her account. We did that for our DD and SIL for their honeymoon cruise.

I've been watching every review of this ship since November. I'll look forward to what you think, I value all reviews. I believe I have heard the water slides are now open as is the new 2 story miniature golf? Has anyone heard of an opening date for Chops? We like to eat at Chops on our anniversary, I haven't even checked yet to see if its reseverable in May yet.
Hi, we sail on March 11th and doing a b2b and it's on both of our cruise planners. We've booked for both weeks so hopefully it will be open. The option to book showed up about 3 weeks ago.

I am not sure if the channel number changes ship to ship but if you have cruised on Royal Caribbean over the past year and looked through the onboard tv channels I am sure you have stumbled over this. It shows the same episodes of these programs over and over again:
- Mom
- Mike & Molly
- Two Broke Girls
- Chicago Fire
- Big Bang Theory
- Person of Interest
Nothing makes me feel like I am back home than turning on that channel and seeing the episodes I have memorized by heart.
Seeing Caroline from 2 Broke Girls using a staple gun on her pants. Watching Howard's over the top feminine reaction after 2 weeks of exposure to estrogen creme. Or Christy on Mom tricking her mom into sleeping on the couch, not telling her it is a sofa bed. These are moments I will cherish forever. :p
Anyone else have a favorites? :D
I think you quoted all my favorites!👍😜 There is nothing better than watching the same episode day after day after day! Lol

We also had a dining credit from a big box TA. It showed up as just plain credit on our onboard account. So we used it for whatever we wanted!👍😃

Are you staying at a hotel precruise? One time they let us store our luggage there after the cruise as we had stayed there before the cruise. I don't know if all hotels do this but it's worth it to ask.

Another vote for the aft! Those are our favorites especially on the Radiance class. We've had 9256x3, 1102, 1104x2 and 9658. So we really don't like the afts!:D To us the walk isn't bad, I like it!

Where did you find this information at? I went to cruise tt and they only have the ships in port up to December 2016. When I put in anything for 2017 it comes up blank.

That's awesome we made diamond plus but have yet to get one pin. I'm not complaining really! We haven't gotten our crystal block for 140 cruise points either, we love to cruise and hopefully we can for many years to come!:D
Those flying to Puerto Rico this weekend-give update?
