  1. Good spirits should have a real menu for you. Here’s a few photos.
  2. @ChbyMnky there is a live Discovery Princess Thread that started their voyage today. It’s very fuzzy in the patter photo a.k.a. the newsletter. But it does say that you can call the dine line. I believe it’s phone number 38 or visit the catch by Rudi during certain times to rectify dining,it’s very difficult to read. I would wait till you get onboard and see if you can talk to someone that can accommodate your party of 6. As far as your diabetic mom, the ship has food all over to enjoy prior to the evening meal, but I hear you. Yes ,you can always go to DR ( no reservation)with your party of 6 at 5 pm when they open. Might have to be patient, works just like a land based restaurant, sort of. Early seating/ dining is very popular on Princess in my opinion,so patience is necessary .
  3. @Cruising Lynne you can even wear the 1 dress both formal nights, saves on space in the suitcase if you are flying. Each DR is different decor, but yes same menus. Can always do breakfast ( all mornings) or lunch on port days in a different dining room potentially ,to see what it looks like. check the Patter aka newsletter or app when onboard for location of breakfast/ lunch DR. Hopefully it won’t be the Botticelli , but if it is, you can always go peek your head into the other dining rooms, just to look at them. I don’t find it makes a difference to me on size or decor, but…….
  4. @bugsy43 thanks. I have added more information to the Majestic for 2024 . I’ll post it another day when I have perhaps more information from another ship.
  5. @Cruising Lynne Formal should be 2 nights on a 7 night cruise. Not that formal any longer. Think for woman sparkly top and skirt or pants. Of course you may dress to the 9’s too. For the guys think dark pants/ khaki pants and dress shirt, long or short. With a tie or no tie, sport coat or none. Smart casual should be fine. Don’t skip the dining room for dinner if that’s where you want to dine. There are a lot of dress code threads on cruise critic, not difficult to find. It’s a hot button discussion. Princess.com will tell you one thing, what happens onboard is another thing, cc members will tell you one thing and then another CC member something opposite . So do what you think is correct for you on how you dress on formal nights.
  6. I think your mystery light thingy is an emergency power outage flashlight. Here’s someone’s photos, might not be exactly like yours, apparently it pulls out of wall. Princess should label this! Where’s my label maker. In all my Princess cruises, I have never needed or asked what this was, hope you find out the same thing.
  7. New information. Some have stated that they have a guarantee room and they were able to book as of 7-1-2024 -their dining room reservation. Also have seen posts that passengers don’t have their cruise paid in full & they were able to book dining. Some have reported that they’re Not platinum or elite and it’s their first Princess cruise and they’re not paid in full ,but they were able to book dining room reservations . *Some passengers say Make sure you are fully checked in for your voyage, before making dinner reservations. I have just compiled this list loosely from the posts under the dining threads of those that were able to book recently , so not set in stone on accuracy. Reserve collection dining room ( former club class) is listed when known, but no need to make a reservation for those. Check your cabin “ card” that should be delivered. Hopefully , others can just add to this list to keep everybody informed. From Princess website:choice when it comes to their dining experience by offering three table service options – Traditional, Reservable, or Walk-in Anytime - coupled with the brand’s industry exclusive OceanNow location-based “anywhere” service. Booked guests will be able to use the app ahead of their voyage to opt for traditional seating in a dedicated dining room with the same waiter, same table and same time each night, or flexible dining, allowing them to enjoy dinner at any available time and table size of their choosing in either the Reservable or Open Seating dining rooms. Traditional dining seems to be 5 PM and 7:30 PM with a few variations. The reservable (Flexible is Princesses new term) a.k.a. dine my way starts at 5 PM and there are slots available every 20 minutes. Open seating (Princesses new term) AKA walk-in is just that. 8. I think the Grill ( on Island P.)has a similar if not the same menu as this.
  9. From Princess.com website: Special Needs at Sea: 800-513-4515 or 954-585-0575, or visit the Special Needs at Sea website. Scootaround: 888-441-7575 or 204-982-0657, or visit the Scootaround website.
  10. Yep !1/2 of all marital assets ,no matter how long you are married . If you have a Pre nup it is different rules.
  11. Is he on crutches now with a Velcro type apparatus from the thigh to below the knee? He must be able to get to himself to the bathroom now. Yes understand,no weight bearing. If patella was not displaced,he will stay in that.( don’t take my word for this) Yes, Princess has assistance with a wheelchair at the port.Porters will wheel you on & off but, you don’t get use of chair for cruise. If you need to fly, of course airport porters with wheelchairs. No Princess does not rent wheelchairs, but they can give you names of places that deliver to the ship & to your cabin. Scooter type or regular fold up wheelchair. if you have a travel agent, you need to get a hold of them and if you don’t, you need to ask for special services at Princess 800# and let them know , & they should give you what phone numbers that you need to get this accomplished. There is also a disabled forum under cruise critic- scroll almost all the way to bottom to find, you may find pertinent information there. As far as cabin, hopefully you have a cabin with a shower and not a bathtub /shower combo? As long as he feels fine & if you see a doctor & get the ok before you cruise, I would go and enjoy. You & your son will get to know your new normal at home or on a ship, so go enjoy what you are able.
  12. More seat space/room,yay! technically as you told us all -not your ex wife yet. You are still legally married, legally separated??? CA which you know is a community property state. So…..
  13. I could not resist, people or a food item?
  14. @Thunderbird19 not my photos. ( I just shared them) Cake location varies ship to ship. International cafe, Swirls? ,Coffee & Cones, or Gelateria.
  15. @LouCoop Thanks, exactly what I have listed on another thread.( new dining ship by ship thread) I’ll update as I get new information, not sure how long I will keep it up. Time will tell.
  16. @Globaler this may help you? It is Live.
  17. @LouCoopSo what two dining rooms show up for you on the Sapphire Princess every 20 minute time slots? Just trying to update my list. I know you are waiting for reservations in traditional to open up. Thanks.
  18. @MsK64 if I understand your post correctly, your cruise on Enchanted Princess is at the end of August 2024. Did I get that correct? If so, new dining should not have affected your voyage. Your reservations should be exactly how you booked them and I say that loosely. These new dining reservations that opened on July 1 , 2024 were for cruises/voyages that start September 14 or 15th of 2024 . And the new dining reservations did not affect the Sun Princess voyages.(just for information purposes only, not that you’re on that particular ship.)
  19. Thanks for your information. The information that I already have listed is what other cruise critic members have posted that they were able to do . Glad you were able to get a private table for your group at 6 PM in Boticelli.
  20. I believe it will be similar to the Diamond Princess and I believe the international dining room will be the traditional one and it’s located deck six aft. The only confirmation that I got for the Sapphire Princess from a CC member was Vivaldi and Savoy-They are the reservable, every 20 minute time slot restaurants. I am posting as I receive information on the new dining ship by ship thread ( different than this thread) as I receive from members. what year & month is your cruise? It may be too early to book dinner reservations & that is why I don’t have very much information for this ship.??
  21. @DUTRAVEL this is what I show for reservations. Does this match up with what you have been able to book? Thanks. Ruby Princess-2024 & maybe 2025? Michelangelo is traditional at 5 PM ( shared or private table)and 7:20 pm (private table only) Botticelli- reservable, every 20 minute time slots- able to get private table (7:20 pm)
  22. Sorry, I misunderstood when you said you had a reservation. You meant a booking for the ship/ voyage -not reservations for dinner. I feel for you & your frustration on securing dinner reservations. Does not seem to be consistent. Have you enlisted the help of your travel agent, if you have one ? I don’t remember if you previously indicated that or not.
  23. @t&atravel Great advice on how you were able to get reservations. question- are you traveling October 2024 or 2025 where you were able to secure dinner reservations? Thanks.great, exactly the information I had listed on the ship by ship new dining thread.
  24. @t&atravel Great advice on how you were able to get reservations. question- are you traveling October 2024 or 2025 where you were able to secure dinner reservations?
  25. @Retired-N-Happy so you say you were able to make dinner reservations for April 2025 for Enchanted., nice! Do you show what I have listed? Or any other information to add. Thanks . Enchanted Princess Amalfi dining room -reservable every 20 minutes from 5 pm-8:20pm Santorini-Traditional 5 pm ( shared & private tables) & 7:30 pm( private table,no shared) Capri- walk in
