We stayed at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba in April prior to a Millennium Japan cruise. It’s an absolutely lovely hotel, very friendly and in a great area. Lots to do nearby (walkable). Up on the top floor they have a great teppanyaki restaurant- we highly recommend it.

Very useful to me and my husband.

We had a concierge class cabin on our Japan cruise this year, also on Millennium. It was lovely and peaceful and in a really good location.

Thanks for the replies xx

How comfortable are the beds on Azura? We’re just back from a cruise on Anthem of the Seas and the beds were rock hard (in my opinion). Luckily I’d brought painkillers for my aching bones. I know bed comfiness is subjective but just wanted peoples opinions so I can pack enough painkillers if needed.
Oh the joys of growing older.

Just off a 7nighter on Anthem. Definitely no lobster night!

Princess have really good beds so you get a good sleep.
Royal beds are the pits. Just back from a weeks cruise on Anthem of the Seas and every bone in my body is sore from the beds (much to hard). This is stopping me from ever booking RCI again even though the service (dining room) and food was good.

My husband bought me a pearl necklace from Effy on a Princess cruise. Second time of wearing it, it fell apart. I live in the U.K. so trying to get it fixed in the USA was a problem. Ended up taking it too Samual to be restringed (they did a lovely job). Be aware if you have a problem and live in the U.K. it won’t be easy to repair.

Does anyone know if Anthem has the Hibachi grill? Many thanks.

Does anyone know if taxis have child car seats? We are going on a cruise with our daughter, son-in-law and 18 month old grandson. We’re hoping to go to Honfleur (been a few times and love it).

Thank you for the review - much appreciated. We are sailing on Millie in a few days time, around southern Japan and South Korea. Can I ask how dressed up the evening chic nights are? I’m slightly confused with the dress codes tbh.

I’ve just checked the price - it’s £9.27 (35%) to upgrade from classic to premium.
-
I believe there is a flash sale on now - check and see the price.

Not sure of the % but we upgraded from classic to premium for £6.99 pppd. Was a really good deal. Keep your eyes open for deals.

We are on a Japan cruise April 2024 on Millie. Cannot wait! Thanks for posting your beautiful pictures.

We had this done on a Princess cruise for our 30th wedding anniversary. Very pleased with the photos.

Jenizor - we’re currently in Southampton Ibis awaiting our cruise on Iona tomorrow. Really looking forward to it,
Incidentally it took us 8 hours to drive down from Preston to Southampton today. Every motorway was queued.

Thank you Welshmanatsea. We are currently in your beautiful country in our caravan. Mind I am biased, both my parents were Welsh.

We had our bid accepted 3 weeks before our cruise. This was for an upgrade from an inside to a balcony. We bid about £20 over the min bid - so £160 each. Considering we only paid £499 each for our inside we’ve done very well indeed. This is on Iona, 7 night Norwegian Fjords cruise.

Thoughts on Celebrity Millennium for a Japan cruise?

We had a lovely time on Millenium and Japan is gorgeous. We did excursions to Hiroshima and Nagasaki (peace memorials), Kyoto, South Korea Tea garden. We did more ship excursions than we would normally do as we will probably never get to Japan again.
From our hotel we took a train into central Tokyo, was really easy to do. (Hotel was Grand Nikko Tokyo and was lovely.
If you’re going with Imagine cruises you get an excursion to Mount Fuji and Bullet train included. You also get drinks package, WiFi and tips included.
Hope this helps. Would have replied earlier but we’re just back from a Canaries cruise to escape the wet weather.
