  1. Agree with most of the PP's that CK is definitely better than the MDR. It's the difference between cooking for thousands vs a couple hundred people at a time. In some cases we've found the specialty restaurants to be worse than CK, but mostly they are better.
  2. We've only done the Canal once and it was east to west. I came to like it that way as we gained several hours as we cruised. Other than that, I'd pick based on what other ports your cruise also stops at.
  3. Most likely on the ship about 11:00 - 11:30. Flow ridder & slides will be open unless there is a maintenance issue.
  4. I would doubt that the names of the cabin attendant would be known. Too many variables as far as who gets assigned what cabins and when their contract runs. In CK, our experience is that most, but not all, the time you'll get the same server.
  5. With that mix of ships I'd say that yes, Voyager would be in T1. I'd expect Celebrity to get T3, which is basically right next door. The Carnival's and Disney ships are typically way down the west end of the port. NCL is often at T10.
  6. Agree with @Straughn above. My guess would be that RCCL will have a ship in CT1 and that Celebrity will be in CT3. As noted, it depends on what ships are in port that day but these are the most likely. There will be large signs as you approach the port to direct you.
  7. Speculation about the demise of the Magic and Wonder are premature. Disney specifically said the fleet will be 13 ships total. That means the firs two will still be with us.
  8. Stick with Palo. A wonderful dining experience.
  9. Debbie will not be a problem for you. It has already passed the Port Everglades area and will be out of Florida by tomorrow afternoon.
  10. Power strips that do not have surge protectors are fine. Its the surge protector types that are not allowed.
  11. Small technical distinction - nothing is loaded onto a sea pass card. The card merely links to your account. The account tells the terminal that you have (or don't have) x number of free drinks.
  12. Very interesting report. We might have been on the same cruise. Did you sail on the 12th? Sorry you didn't enjoy the food/service on this ship. We had similar issues with service and we were in a suite.
  13. Your TA should know or be able to find out from Disney. The TA shouldn't be guessing about the answer.
  14. There have been random guesses all over the place. Nothing is official.
  15. Before deciding what to bid on a particular category, first look at the price if you booked the cabin today. Calculate the difference between what you paid and the price of the new cabin. Don't bid any more than that difference. In fact, I'd go only half way on that.
  16. Let the air out of the balloon and you'll be fine.
  17. There is no secret passageway for Concierge guest on the Fantasy. However, the concierge area itself does require a key card to open the door to the lounge. It's definitely not secret.
  18. Of course they will. They will take you wherever you want to go.
  19. Apparently its a sister ship to the Wish.
  20. The airport is only a couple of miles from the dock.
  21. Just a fluke. It all depends on what is available at whatever port the ship last loaded supplies.
  22. Yes, there is general availability of ride share and taxis at Port Canaveral
  23. Despite the comments above, why not actually go ahead and get passports for them? It will bring you piece of mind and they may come in handy for their travels in the next 10 years. Also, although not strictly necessary for the OP's cruise it's very helpful to have a passport with you in case you are stranded in a foreign port, perhaps by a medical issue.
