  1. Yes, low pricing and low passenger count after the restart spoiled me also. But, I know those low pricing days are gone now.
  2. Thank you so much. Wow, early November is a surprise. But, happy to hear that they will most likely be up when we sail. Awesome!
  3. You have to pay for seating when you've already paid a higher cost to have access to the area?
  4. Oh bummer. Now I have to choose between having a good view (port side) when sailing away from Miami OR having a good view of Ocean Cay (starboard side). Bummer that they are not both on the same side.
  5. Had anyone else seen this? The selling of entrance into Top 19? How much was it sold for? I'm looking at the math for purchasing the Aurea experience and am wondering the individual costs that play into the higher price for that experience. Thanks
  6. Is the even side, starboard side, the same side for views when departing Miami? I will be sailing on Seascape and love watching the Miami scenery when departing. It's the best sailaway views. I want to make sure I book a cabin on the right side of the ship for those great views. Which side? Thanks!
  7. Sounds scary. As another poster commented, we are allowed to take snacks or food from the buffet earlier during the days for eating later. I've done that on many different cruise lines. Stored in the fridge without any problems. Not necessarily for late eating, but to have access to food whenever I might need it. Including breakfast for early port days. That strategy, having food available in my room taken earlier from the buffet, has been helpful for many years of cruising.
  8. Thank you so much! I'm hoping that this has been true also during more recent years like 2022 or 2021. Hoping some folks that sailed last December, will also share about their experiences..
  9. Hello all, In taking two first time MSC cruisers on the Seascape on Dec 9th. I'm wondering if Christmas decorations will be up for that sailing. I've sailed on that same date with several other cruise lines and decoration s were up, but I'm not sure when MSC decorates. For anyone that sailed last year in December 2022, were decorations up for your early December cruises? I know Seascape is new so it might be hard to get much data for this specific ship. Thanks
  10. Which beverages does MSC allow passengers to bring onboard? Like can we bring bottled water and wine like in Royal?
  11. Thanks so much Radio! Awesome review. Very helpful. Thanks so much! Drink package question: sorry if I missed it. Do you have 0rices for the drink packages and descriptions? Thanks
  12. Thanks for posting this question. I booked an odd room on the Seashore and I was able to see Island side sometimes when I sailed on her last year. But, now I dont remember which islands we could and could not see. Bummer. So is starboard even or odd numbers? I will be sailing the Seascape at the end of the year. We are also deciding should we book even number rooms or odd number rooms. Our goal is to be on the side of the ship that docs at Ocean Cay so we can see the lighthouse. We have balcony cabins Thanks
  13. I noticed the same thing. Pricing has indeed increased for US sailings. Great deals for sailings I like are definitely less right now.
  14. I will be following as well. I will have the same cabin setup for a sailing in December that has a very similar itinerary. One guest will be a first time cruiser. Pricing Question - Was browse internet and the easy package included in your fare OR did you go with the OBC deal? If the browse internet and easy beverage package was not included, do you know the pricing of those for your sailing? Also, cabin question - we will be on Deck 10 in same category cabins as you. We want cabins with beds by the balcony. Do you know how to figure out when selecting cabins during booking if the beds are by the balcony. We really want that setup. Thanks so much! Definitely following. Happy cruising 🛳🏝🙋‍♀️🌞🤗
  15. I vote for doing your review when you return home. Enjoy your cruise!
  16. As shared, there are several posts on here about the menu change. Yes, I have sailed post the menu change. Sailed on the Symphony. No problem for me. Enjoy your cruise
  17. Divina is possibly not the best ship for decision making about an entire cruise line. It's a much smaller and older ship in the fleet. Several newer MSC ships offer different experiences. I dont sail older ships on any cruise line at this point.
  18. Same. I refuse to pay for an imaginary friend. I cruise solo in balcony cabins.
  19. Hence, I love solid travel. I do it all over the world. No time for foolishness when I want to and am traveling.
  20. That's what I was wondering. Yes, beautiful ship. But, it has been documented a bit that there have been some challenges with some things on that ship. The Meraviglia was the last ship I sailed on right before the uS shutdown in response to COVID. I lived it! But, from the reports recent, it seems like some folks report staffing and supply challenges. I plan to return for a sailing on her after more of that gets worked out. Similar to reports we hear about any line's specific ships. I'm just waiting for those things to he sorted out. For some ships, getting back into the flow has been more challenging than others. Lots of information about that online. I would not give up on an entire cruise line that has multiple ships due to one sailing experience. I mean there are Royal ships that I would not sail on right now either. But, that does not mean I wont ever sail on Royal. I would just choose the ship that will offer the experience I want. Happy cruising
  21. I enjoy MSC. I like having options. I enjoy Royal as well. MSC is a different product so I tend to not compare the two. I have not paid for shows on MSC or had drink package issues. Never had issues with unexpectedly long lines either. I'm glad you were still able to enjoy your cruise. I'm looking forward to my upcoming cruises, which include both Royal and MSC. Happy sailing! 🛳🌞
