  1. Oh wow. Thanks for sharing your perspective. Kost folks on here that posted about him seemed to like him. It's goodto read other perspectives. How was your cruise overall? Would be great to hear about it. I'm just four weeks away from sailing!
  2. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if the one door versus two door situation varies depending on the class of ship. Hoping someone that's been on Symphony responds also. Hope you had a nice cruise.
  3. Yes, that is so much fun. The adventure of a good last minute booking. Works for ports within driving distance. 🤗
  4. Wow, #2 is rough. To help with #3, I usually track prices so I can truly know if the "sale" price is really a sale or not. The funny math online at times is indeed funny. But, tracking helps the reality set in. Happy cruising.
  5. Thanks. I just received my magnet order this week. Thx
  6. Ok. The postings above and on two active related threads, it was said that there was only one door between the two connecting cabins based on their experience. Hence, there was easier issue for noise between the 2 cabins. But, I see that you posted that when you said a few years ago, the Lee were 2 doors. The two posters that were on oasis, said it was one door. Have you remembered which ship you sailed on that had 2 doors? I havent seen any posts from Symphony guests yet to comment on their experience with connecting cabins. So, I assumed that the setup on Symphony might he similar to Oasis unleashed they took into consideration complaints from prior guests to change it from one door to 2. Thanks
  7. Thank you so much. I was stressing a bit.after reading some postings on here. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Have a great Sunday 🙋‍♀️
  8. If I am reading your question correctly, you are asking if you book a cruise now in Nov for a cruise next month in December, will you get a price adjustment or OBC? The answer is no because if you are booking a cruise now for next month, you will pay in full and will be past final payment since the cruise is so soon. If the price drops before your cruise next month, you can call and inquire about an upgrade depending on the actual price drop. If you mean December 2023, there are those options if the price drops before your final payment deadline. Sorry if I am misunderstanding your question.
  9. Currently, after payment, if the price drops, you may have an option to try to upgrade the room if prices drop. Not FCC or money back. I'm booked to sail in December also. So, a possible upgrade is what I was informed is my option if prices drops.
  10. Hi there, we are booked on a cruise next month on the Symphony and have connecting cabins that I'm concerned about. The people in the other cabin are not with us so I dont want to hear noise from that cabin. I'm working on changing, but nothing is available now. I will keep checking. But, question about the blanket technique you mentioned. Do you know if her put blankets on both sides of the door OR just inside your cabin? Also, which ship were you on? Thx.
  11. Was the Key of any benefit to you on your cruise? In what ways was it helpful?
  12. Hello all, I'm taking a first time cruise on the Symphony next month. I've read on the board good comments about Dennis Charles, the Cruise Director. A CD does not make or break a cruise for me, but it's nice to have a good one, and I was hopeful that my friend will experience a good one on this first cruise experience. But, I've also read on here that the CD on Symphony will be changing this month. So, I'm writing to ask if anyone can confirm that Dennis will be leaving Symphony this month. (I'm not sure why.) Next month, I will be on the Dec 10 sailing. Not sure how long Dennis is supposed to not be on Symphony. Also, any feedback on the person who will be taking over? The name posted in another thread here is Clo O'Connor. Thanks!
  13. Thanks. Yes, I understand that part, that I would be paying for a different category for an ocean view balcony. When I looked, there were only ocean view balcony guarantees shown as an option.
  14. Thanks for sharing this info as I have an ocean view balcony, 9150, reserved on Symphony for next month. Now I'm more concerned. A slightly different question. Due to the location of the door, did you still have a sofa in your room or did you just have a chair? In a separate threadhere, I think the OP mentioned having a chair versus a sofa. Thanks
  15. Thanks for posting this question. I am booked in cabin 9150 on Symphony next month. It is a connecting ocean view balcony. The people in the connecting room are not with my party. I'm a bit concerned about noise from their cabin since from the info above it sounds like it will only be a single door. I will have to see what options I have at this point for any possible cabin changes. I looked online and only balcony guarantees are being sold for the ocean views. Ugh. I could purchase a higher level cabin for double the price of this balcony cabin we have. That's double ugh. LoL. I will certainly call Royal as well to check. Any helpful suggestions?
  16. Hi, Dec 10 on Symphony. It's a lot of now I'm here and now I'm gone. Meaning the shows appear and then disappear. I booked the adult comedy show in the planner, online using a desktop. I can see it in the app, but I cant reserve any shows in the app. That comedy show is now listed as sold out, but stuff I reserved today was showing as sold out yesterday. So, who knows. I check my phone and tablet frequently to see if the ice skating shows will pop up for booking. Neither are in the planner. One is showing in the app, but I cant reserve there so that's not helpful. I will see if anything changes tomorrow.
  17. I'm waiting for the skating shows to post for Symphony. Was able to book the adult comedy.
  18. Hey, we are on the same cruise. I was able to book some shows today. Still waiting on others to show up. Worked better on a desktop versus my cell using the planner.
