  1. Sorry, not the same person. I wish we could share the names of our Princess CVPs since this is a Princess forum.
  2. I’ve used the same CVP for years and it’s great! I literally call her when I want to book and she takes care of it all. If I need to refare or make changes, no waiting on hold for an hour to speak to an outsourced agent in another country. She gets it done in mere minutes. She is gold to me!
  3. I just tell my CVP that we want L101 or 102 and she overrides the booking system and grabs it for us. Of course if I try it, only the guarantee choice is available. Thank goodness for Princess CVPs!
  4. This is exactly why we prefer the specialty restaurants and the casual restaurants over the MDR. We have Premier package on our next cruise and we’ve booked all specialty restaurants with only two included in the package. Worth the money to us. As you mentioned, the service and atmosphere is more our style. We hate being rushed, too. However, for those who enjoy the MDR then by all means don’t bother with the extra cost. No obligation to dine anywhere you don’t want to. To each their own!
  5. If you can’t locate it on your own just keep asking crew and staff where it is. I’m sure you’ll find it on your first day. If you want a really good smoothie go to the bar nearest the buffet. They have all the ingredients and if not they’ll get it from the buffet and custom make one for you. They are terrific!
  6. The food in the MDR is very different from the casual restaurants. Some people prefer occasionally having a faster and more simple meal rather than the MDR. Alfredo’s and Gigi’s serve pizza and other Italian dishes, O’Malley’s is pub food. Other casual restaurants have a different menu. Pizza is not served in the MDR for dinner. If you have a package the casual restaurants are either two complimentary with the Plus or unlimited with the Premier. Without a package there is a charge depending on which restaurant you choose. There is no obligation to dine at any of the pay restaurants. You can get free pizza at the Pizzeria in the buffet and it’s quite good. There are many dining options and some have a cost and many are included in your cruise fare. It’s entirely up to you.
  7. I never use the buffet and I’ve never been in the pastry shop. I always had the bartender at the Wake View bar make a smoothie for me. He had all the ingredients. I assumed this was the only place, but I stand corrected.
  8. I love vanilla oat milk with a banana and a drizzle of maple syrup, with or without ice. Tastes like a creamy milkshake but very healthy. You should try one, it’s delicious!
  9. The juice is fresh and can be a blend of different fruits. I prefer a smoothie. You’ve never had a smoothie? I’ve had one every morning for years. A blend of fruits and berries and veggies and ice and fresh mint or honey and many different combinations. I love a green smoothie with honey. Mango is lovely, too. I buy frozen fruit to make my own. It all goes into a high power blender and you get this milkshake like drink that’s delicious. Where I live you can buy one at the fitness centre and they cost about $10.00 each. Very expensive, so Princess is offering a good deal to include them. Of course, if you don’t like this type of thing then it’s no value to you. For many of us, it’s terrific.
  10. I just want to chime in here to tell you that we have The Catch booked for four nights on our upcoming Enchanted! We love seafood and fish, but we don’t eat meat. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about The Catch! I’ll let you know in August just how much enjoyed it.
  11. Great! Although, I was premature typing in Greenland as this was for 2024 not 2025. One of our eagle eyed members caught my error and informed me that indeed I would not be seeing Greenland. My DH just laughed at me. I seem to blend too many cruises together. lol Looking forward to your report!
  12. We’ll be sailing Majestic for the first time in July 2025, so very interested in your thread. Thanks for taking me along!
  13. Great advice, thanks! Where do I buy these nets?
  14. My daughter-in-law is from Sudbury and her mother still lives there. Small world!
  15. Wow, I’m impressed! We’ll be on Enchanted in August. Those are the only Princess cruises for 24 and 25. We do have some Celebrity and HAL cruises in the works, too. I must ask about your profile pic. I’m guessing Malamute or Siberian? We have two Samoyeds. We’ve fostered many huskies over the years and we love them.
  16. Lucky you! Wish we could do both, but unfortunately not possible. Have you sailed this itinerary before? The other ports are lovely, too. We love Southampton, so we’ll spend a couple of days there prior to the cruise. We enjoy the Royal class ships, but have never sailed on Majestic. Watched some YouTube videos and she looks awesome. Perhaps we’ll meet onboard in 2025!
  17. I’ve had 2025 booked for quite some time.
