  1. Alcoholic drinks max 15 per day with unlimited specialty coffees, teas, water and sodas.
  2. The Premier package gives you unlimited access to all of the casual restaurants. These will differ slightly depending on ship. They normally have a charge associated with each restaurant but your package eliminates these charges and you may order anything you want. European itineraries are usually more inclined to be dressy and Caribbean cruises less so. Wear exactly what you like and makes you happy. My husband is British and he loves to dress well, as do I. American cruisers are considerably more casual. Your choice.
  3. Wait until tomorrow and try again. Sometimes the app needs to rest before it can function properly. lol. It happened to me, same scenario. I left the app with one reservation booked and went in the next day and it showed my remaining complimentary dining. I booked our desired day and time with no request for payment. Good luck!
  4. Their system is based on points not number of days. Elite requires 300 - 749. Elite+ 750-2999 and Zenith which is a very elevated tier. Points are assigned based on length of cruise and cabin category. Suites earn more points than interiors. We are Elite+ and we started sailing with Celebrity in 1992! We started out with the last expensive cabins and worked our way up. We also take cruises more than seven nights. We’re offered complimentary balcony cabins on a very regular basis because of our casino play. Probably offered at least six times per year. We have never been offered an inside or ocean view.
  5. We always book a mini suite because seating and comfort are very important to us. With all those sea days I can’t imagine just having a desk chair for two people. Just not for us.
  6. May I suggest that you call to be assigned a personal CVP. We’ve had the pleasure of working with the same woman for years. I either call or email if I need to book, refare or any other inquiries. She gets back to me either immediately or within one hour. I never wait on hold, never get stressed or frustrated. She lives in Florida and has been with Princess for years. If interested, call this # and request your own CVP - Cruise Vacation Planner. 1-800-901-1172
  7. We also have priority embarkation, but we still have to run to the Sanctuary! Not the best way to start a cruise, that’s for sure. We reward ourselves with lunch in the MDR! We always book a cabin with a large balcony just in case we’re disappointed.
  8. That’s good to know! We were told onboard once you book for the entire cruise you cannot get a partial refund for weather related issues. In the past we’ve booked only one or two days. We’ve also been disappointed when it was fully booked and we were turned away,
  9. Exactly! I love to hear about everyone’s sea adventures regardless of cruiseline.
  10. We’re Elite with Princess so very aware of the benefits. We also purchase the Premier package. Our next sailing is on Enchanted, using up a very hefty FCC. We hope to get the Sanctuary for our entire cruise at $60.00 for two guests per day. On Celebrity ships the adult only Solarium with covered pool and hot tub and cafe is complimentary to all guests over 18 years old. We just find that Celebrity is a better fit for us. Their non smoking policy is a huge plus for us. If you are a smoker on a Princess ship you can enjoy your time there. Non smokers can’t. We do find that Princess does offer some great itineraries and embarkation ports. We love embarking in Southampton for British Isles cruises. Celebrity uses Amsterdam, which we do not love. So we’ll continue with Princess if it’s the right itinerary.
  11. You can book loungers for half day $20.00 per person, full day $40.00 per person or for entire cruise $30.00 per day per person. Same price for port days and sea days. Full amount payable at time of making reservations. No refunds.
  12. I’m sorry, but I think that you’re overthinking this. Yes, people try to convert others to their religion. We’re talking about cruising here on CC. Nobody is that dedicated to a particular cruiseline. We share opinions, information and anecdotes. And that is all it is. Good evening.
  13. Those members are merely expressing their opinions. I don’t recall ever reading a post by a member trying to convert anyone to their favourite cruiseline.
  14. Why would anyone want to “convert” others to their choice of cruiseline? Most people sail on more than one and often 3 or 4. I don’t care what cruiseline people choose. I only care about which one or ones that make me the happiest and meets my expectations. Everyone is very capable of making their own decisions. We’re here for guidance only when requested and not to convert anyone.
  15. If it works for you, then that’s great! Everyone has their own needs and expectations. What works for some, doesn’t for others, it’s each individual’s perspective on what’s important to them. Celebrity works better for us. Oh, and most importantly no indoor smoking on any Celebrity ship including the casino. On Princess you have to run by the casino so as not to have your clothes smell like a dirty ashtray.
  16. Elite+ on Celebrity Complimentary daily cocktail party from 5-7:30. As many drinks as you want, no limit Exclusive breakfast lounge for all stateroom categories 2 bags of laundry per person per week 2 dry clean items per person per week 15% discount on specialty restaurants 35% discount on internet 10% discount on all bev packages Priority tender service Priority embarkation and disembarkation lounge 15% spa service discount Obviously, the daily drink allowance is a big deal for many people. This also apples to Elite level as well as Elite+. Important for many people is that these benefits apply regardless of cabin category. Inside cabin folk get exactly the same as everyone else. I will let you look up Princess Elite loyalty level benefits to do your comparison. I think the free alcoholic beverages everyday far exceeds what Princess offers.
  17. Smoking is only allowed in the casino. There are no other indoor venues that permit smoking. Select outside areas only.
  18. lol! My DH is fast, thank goodness! I have two crappy knees, but I’ll be cheering him on from waaaay back. I wish you good luck, too! I don’t think you’re on our sailing, so we should be fine.
  19. Yes, it should. However, the app has glitches and things can and do go awry. Worst case scenario, you will get it back in OBC when you board. Hopefully, you have no problem.
  20. Good question. For some of us we’ve been able to book our complimentary reservations without a credit card, The app recognizes our Premier package and no payment required. However, quite a few people have had to provide a credit card to book their reservations and will most likely get it back in OBC when onboard. So, for you I honestly have no idea if you will get it refunded now or when you board. Since you’ve already paid, you could cancel your reservations and get a credit card refund and then rebook hoping that the app works in your favour and you don’t need to pay again! Good luck! Please let us know how it works out for you.
  21. No, you can book and pay for the specialty dining reservations at any time before and after final payment date. We usually book our reservations as soon as we book our cruise. However, we are Elite and it may be different for lower loyalty levels.
  22. Internet is crucial for us. We have two elderly dogs that family take care of, but both have medical issues. We have business interests that may need immediate input from my DH. We don’t need it for browsing social media or streaming movies or following the news. It’s a lifeline, that without it being available years ago, we would not be free to travel as often as we do. We will pay whatever we have to for internet.
  23. You need to contact your CVP (new moniker) immediately. I’m not sure of the protocols involved making this type of change after final payment. I think that as long as the principal occupant remains the same, it’s permissible to change the name of the second guest. However, please get this done with your CVP to avoid disappointment.
  24. I assume you’re talking about the specialty dining restaurants and yes, you prepay for each reservation. If you have the Premier package, two SD evenings are complimentary. If you have to cancel, Princess will credit the charges back to your original credit card, There is no charge to cancel.
  25. We’re HOPING to book the Sanctuary for our full cruise on Enchanted. We plan on getting to deck 18 immediately upon boarding. For $60.00 per day for two people, it’s a very inexpensive luxury. No pool chair hogs, no loud music, no kids running around the pool. Heaven! It really is stressful not knowing if you’ll get your reservation or be left out. We’re gonna need wings for our sneakers! We’ve booked a large balcony cabin, just in case. Wish us luck!
