  1. Friends have had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at Seasons 52 https://www.seasons52.com/locations/fl/fort-lauderdale/fort-lauderdale/4502?cmpid=br:s52_ag:ie_ch:loc_ca:S52GMB_dt:20190131_sn:gmb_gt:fort-lauderdale-fl-4502_pl:locurl_rd:1002 Two of our favorites: https://www.bluemoonfishco.com/ and http://beachhousepompano.com/
  2. We had a group of 10 for an anniversary celebration, for which we chose Teppanyaki. Everyone enjoyed it. Fun atmosphere for 3 generations. They took pictures for us, had a celebration cake and some decorations. While dining in the MDR, saw several birthdays being celebrated.
  3. CarrieAP, I couldn't have said it better. Now at 98,000 points, looking to redeem soon!
  4. Wow, not my experience (not that I am in any Suite category). Maybe the wrong TA??
  5. Not Norwegian, but recently booked with a TA for a southern Caribbean cruise on Celebrity. Celebrity price $5000, TA price $4200 PLUS 650 OBC (agency and Celebrity combined).
  6. Any recommendations for Tampa? Hotels. Parking.
  7. Looking at a Thanksgiving 2020 cruise. We have not been to the ABC islands, and I have been doing research. The best fit was Constellation from Tampa. I checked with Celebrity website: Aqua cabin, with gratuities and beverage package was very near $5000. Ran it by the TA I have used several times: $4250 plus $300 OBC, plus her $350 OBC. She said the "special offer" expired yesterday, and after my email, she "booked" a cabin for us. So we are booked with completely refundable down payment. Residents of Ft Lauderdale, will drive to Tampa. Anyone know of a parking facility that won't break the bank, or a hotel that will offer parking? Anxious to return to Celebrity after a long hiatus.
  8. Kauai is my Happy Place, but Maui looks interesting and beautiful. We used the Gypsy app in Banff and I know what you mean about adding to the trip. Not sure I would spend the $$$ for this cruise as opposed to another week on Kauai, but you are making it look enticing!
  9. Individual, no refrigerated International Coffee flavor creamers. Plastic zip lock bag. Not much weight, cruise with your comfort food, no problem. Did it for 7 day Alaska cruise, took creamers to breakfast every day, restaurant or buffet.
  10. It is a waxing/waning illness. Go on land tours, and that is what it is all about. Then return to cruising, and the unpacking once, everything in easy reach, relaxation of sea days, mind numbing relaxation kick in. What is a patient to do??
  11. OK, my last post on this thread. It has been painful to read some of your replies, and I want to remember this cruise with a smile, not focusing on the brief negatives. Just one thing I must correct: I am a near compulsive trip planner, and for those that suggested I hadn't done my homework, please stand corrected. For those of you who offered constructive criticism, I thank you. How else will we learn? I have no ill will towards NCL; they are in the business of making money for their shareholders, and offer an attractive product. For those of you who characterized me as a money-grubbing, sourpuss trouble maker, well, you don't know me. I hope you have clear skies and smooth sailing, and that people on anonymous boards treat you with respect. Thank you
  12. We were not late docking in Victoria. (A very short stop, 8-midnight). It was not a problem with docking approval; people not on NCL excursions were disembarking. Tour buses were lined up waiting for us. As we were late getting back to the ship (11 something), excursions desk was closed, and I did not take the time on Saturday to check, as we had to leave the ship before 9am. There was some talk on the Facebook NCL page about problems with certain passengers with passports; it was never explained clearly to me. As I said before, I asked for consideration of a monetary refund of some amount, and did not really expect to receive it. I was really testing NCL's customer service. I think their one-size-fits-all explanation/apology was poorly done.
  13. I just received my son's "translation" of NCL's explanation: It's not our fault that we suck but we will be happy to provide you with more unremarkable service the next time you book with us. Your comments will be added to the other guests comments.Thank you
  14. Sailed the Bliss, and final stop was Victoria. We were lined up inside waiting to board buses for the excursion for about 30 minutes past the scheduled start time for the tour of Butchard Gardens. Therefore, our time during daylight to see the lovely gardens was quite limited. The tour company was not in any way responsible for this delay. Many (more than 100) people complained about the delay. I asked for some monetary compensation, but really knew all along that there would be none. Still, I don't appreciate NCL blaming the tour company. Thank you for contacting us about your recent cruise aboard the Norwegian Bliss. We were truly sorry to learn of your disappointment with the Butchart Gardens Express tour and offer our sincerest apologies. Our Shore Excursions department works very hard to find quality tours that will both entertain and educate our valued passengers. Each excursion, although operated by an independent and reputable tour operator, they are thoroughly researched for content and quality, to provide the finest excursions available. We appreciate that you took the time to share your observations with us. You can be certain your comments, as well as those of other guests, will be taken into consideration when decisions are made to renew contracts with the various tour operators with which we work. As a gesture of goodwill, when you have confirmed plans to sail with us again, please contact the Guest Relations department at 1(866) 625-1164 so that we can arrange a Welcome Aboard amenity for your enjoyment. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back aboard any one of our vessels soon. Sincerely, Patricia Tamarit Coordinator Guest Relations Case: 02797627
  15. And there is also a space on the bill for you to add an extra tip for the wait staff, as well as for the chef.
