  1. I know you have probably already sailed but just for information and experience.. We just sailed on Carnival in December. My fiance brought 3- 8 oz RR unboard by putting them in her cargo pockets of her shorts.. and one in her waistband or something. as long as she didnt wear a bulky sweatshirt or metal, she walked through with no issue..

and we brought a 12 pack of 8 oz cranberry juice bottles..

  2. I'm just wondering, has anyone here been on the same sailing as another member? It seems like we're all ships passing in the night

We have two sailing in 2013.

May 12 - Norwegian Breakaway (inaugural cruise out of NYC to Bermuda/the honeymoon we never had)

Aug. 11 - Allure of the Seas (3rd annual family and friends cruise)

yes I have been on a cruise with someone from this board.. after all the talk sh decided to bring her wife and daughter on a cruise we were booked on.. We had a blast and we remain friends to this day and she is planning to come on another one with us next year..

p.s. love your wedding pics.. I cant wait to have some of those from our wedding on the Carnival breeze.

  3. for a good scavenger hunt, first, decide how big you want it to be.. like.. just around the house or block..? or around town?? I like around town for a teen who can drive. Then think of how you want the clues.. given by people? or found in hiding spots? or both? then think of who you know and where they can be found.. I recruited friends of my sister when i did this for her. one worked at the mall and another at an icecream place etc. Then make clues or kinda easy riddles for those places. like amazing race.. then when she gets there they give her an item and a clue to the next stop.. like sunglasses and a clue.. or flip flops and a clue.. start with the weird obscure items and then work to the obvious cruise items. Sounds elaborate but it will be the best fun trust me. The one regret I have is that I did not follow her with a video camera.. lol only in my memory now. but it was a ton of fun..

  4. you will love grand turk.. what makes it my favorite is that it is in its natural form still. not highly commercialized. very few locals. just nature.. i recommend going out to the lighthouse and then when you are looking at the lighthouse with the water on your back walk down the dirt path to the left that kinda starts to go down hill a bit. the cliffs and water are amazing.. and the pics you will get are awesome. once halfway down, turn around and look back at the lighthouse. awesome pic right there.. lighthouse on left and water on right. trust me you will love it.

  5. We live in Old Orchard Beach. We havent been to Aruba yet. but there is a fabulous limited itinerary in march of next year that goes to our favorite place (Grand Turk) and aruba and curacao and La Romana, Dominican Republic. So we will get to see it in year. Its an Official cruise critic cruise so we get a great deal. $25 deposit and OBCs. So thats going to be the next one we book. My girlfriend is into weird trees.. so She is dying to go to Aruba for their weird tree. We LOVE cruising.. we are so into it that now we have decided to go twice a year. it means we are always paying on a cruise.. but its worth it..

  6. Ok.. this is a very long thread.. lol I will not be able to catch up on all 77 pages.. so i will join from here.. My partner and I are 30 and 29. We live in Maine. and we have decided to cruise twice a year from now on.. We always go on Carnival.. we have a great time and the price is always reasonable. We decided to start taking Cruise Critic Group Cruises on Carnival.. The price cant be beat and because of the group thing we get alot of perks like OBC and only having to pay a $25 deposit.. (beats $250 everytime.. lol) We would always love to start meeting up with other couples one our trips every spring and fall. Feel free to email me at the screen name i use on this board at AOL (dot) com... of course..
