  1. Silversea, Crystal and Regent all do
  2. Celebrity is big and will only go to the Dockyard. You will have to bus or ferry to get to Hamilton or St George. I would choose Oceania for that convenience and the food, unless you do a suite on Celebrity and get the special dining room
  3. Have sailed more on Crystal and Silversea. Have done one cruise on Regent and one on Oceania. We felt Regent was a far better choice and certainly $ for $ a better value. We like Oceania’s food and cabins but hated the cost of liquor and excursions. We loved the food, entertainment and all inclusive aspect of Regent. However would sail on either again depending on itinerary
  4. We have stayed on club floors at both the Intercontinental and the Conrad and both were excellent
  5. Interesting back and forth. We have sailed SS twice and Crystal more times. Both have positives and negatives. Loved the food, service entertainment and enrichment on Crystal and loved the service and cabins on SS. Would sail both depending and have a cruise booked on Ray. Thought the bread and rolls on SS were truly awful but that’s not a deal breaker for me.
  6. I have sailed both and would do so again. I am not a cheerleader but Crystals food and entertainment was far superior. SS cabins were larger and service was about equal. For us it will depend on where we want to go as both are really good
  7. Have a wonderful trip and thanks for taking us along. Like you,I surround myself with positive people and try to be sunny as well. Keeps us healthy.
  8. I just phoned for a cappuccino when I woke up and it was there in minutes!
  9. We met on that Crystal cruise. Being Crystal refugees we have tried 2 SS cruises and one Regent. We liked both lines and agree with most of the comments here. Crystal definitely had better enrichment and entertainment and we recently did a 34 day cruise on SS so we noticed. Main dining room food was very good, bread was awful and wine selection was exceptional. The staff were fantastic.Entertainment on Regent was superior to Ss but that could just be the ship. We found the included excursions on both were quite good and there are some very good ones for an upcharge. I don’t think you can go wrong on either line but frankly, I’m waiting to see the reviews on New Crystal. We found the basic balcony suites on both to be a good size with good storage.
  10. On a recent cruise, I attended the Virtuoso cocktail party and it was very nice. Many ship’s officers were there and had an opportunity to chat as a small informal gathering. The amenity was considerably better than $100 and an incentive was also added if you booked on board

Thanks. It doesn’t say anything other than Tokyo. We are on Whisper, Sydney to Tokyo

Does anyone know where SS docks in Tokyo? Trying to plan transport to our hotel
  13. Try TUGO and Medi-Quote. Have had luck with both and we have pre-existing conditions
  14. I don’t understand why you are criticizing me for seeking some opinions. I am totally new to Silversea. Thanks to those who helped
  15. I don’t understand the comment about asking for advice. I am thankful for the opinionS I hear.
  16. Over a year ago we booked Sydney to Tokyo on Whisper. We convinced 2 couples to join us. The recent reviews show complaints about food, beverages and state the ship is “tired”. Should we be bailing?
  17. We have a cruise in Feb Mar from Sydney to Tokyo and our air was booked weeks ago
  18. We did a crossing on Silver Spirit several years ago. It was perfect. My partner was seasick one night but I was fine. I found the movement was just the same as on a bigger ship in fact, the dining rooms were better because they were lower in the ship. There is as much to do as you choose and no loud pool games etc. Loved it.
  19. Crystal had an excellent selection of No Al wine(very good) beer and gin. All were good. It was also easy to find 0% sugar which is often a challenge
  20. You can upload most info ahead of time. Try the web version. Once you set it up it goes quite quickly
  21. My experience was different.SS had booked flights we didn’t like. We chose what we wanted. Our TA contacted SS and with paying a deviation fee we got exactly what we wanted. Business class to Sydney and home from Tokyo.
  22. We are Canadian and it was $185 ca. which is more than 150 US. Suspect it is $175 us
  23. You do have to pay a deviation fee to change dates. Just did it for an Asia cruise to go in early and stay later
