Nah didn't ask, I feel a little awkward asking for things like that. It is what it is... just differed from my expectation of them placing the bed away during the day and taking it out at night.

Was on Quantum the other week. We were in a suite so got 2x daily room servicing. However, we were travelling with our son who was sleeping on the pull-out couch. The pull-out stayed out for the entire cruise. Not sure if this is the 'new normal' or unique to our room attendant but the loss of the sofa was kinda annoying, not to mention the pull-out bed took up a lot of room. (I know, first world problems!!)

Thanks appreciate the info. Hopefully they have upped their game by now, our cruise is also a domestic one so no customs involved: one less bottleneck to deal with 🙂

If one of perks of being in a suite is priority boarding then it shouldn't relate on how quick you check in or not! Thanks for the info re coastal kitchen. We're sailing with our 5yo and other family not in suite so don't think we'll be in CK at all. When I was last on Ovation I really enjoyed Solarium Bistro - hope that's still good.

We're staying in a GS on Quantum in about three weeks. We completed online check in and the earliest boarding time we could select was 1.00pm. This seems a lot later than previous cruises that we've taken in a suite. I called RC and after being on hold for aaaages (playing the same song on loop) the rep advised I have to wait for the concierge's email a week before sailing and request an earlier boarding time from them. Does that seem right? I know there's lots of literature that says not to, but what are the implications of arriving at the port to board earlier than planned given we're in a suite? If it makes any difference, we're boarding in Brisbane AU.
