You have how much already invested in a cruise and he's worried about another $500? We always fly in a day before even during nice weather just for peace of mind and less stress.

....or you could order a rum and coke and tell them to hold the rum.😀

I have a suggestion that may help. When we did a Panama Canal cruise on NCL Pearl, we got up early in the morning the day of the transit and went to the Spinnaker Lounge (in the front of the ship) and had a bird's eye view of the transit. I also had a thermal spa pass and later I went to the Mandara Spa (also in the front of the ship) and sat on one of their loungers and had a great view of the transit. I looked at the Jewel deck plans and noticed they have a Spinnaker Lounge on Deck 13 and a Mandara Spa on Deck 12. Note: Mandara Spa passes must be purchased separately and are not included in the price of your cruise. Hope this helps.

We're on the Prima to Bermuda for the May 2023 sailing. We love to sail on a new ship, plus their Mandara Spa looks awesome. We prefer a ship with the Mandara Spa. Joy doesn't have one. Love the layout of Prima. Can't wait to experience their theater and dining venues. Looking forward to Prima reviews.

I never ask my husband for his opinion on anything.😉

If I have to spend a little extra on a cruise, I tell my kids, "I'm spending your inheritance."🙂

We like Teppanyaki. Great food (if you like Japanese food) and the chefs are very entertaining while preparing your food.

What are some good seafood restaurant recommendations in Bermuda? Will be in Bermuda three days and would like to try a good local seafood restaurant one evening. Not concerned about location. TIA.

We usually tip $5 -$10 per person for specialty dining. Servers have always treated us like royalty, plus it puts a big smile on their face.

I checked the fine print again on the credit card details and it said any hotel using a certain category code would qualify for double points, but it didn't give a breakdown of which hotels. Maybe I'll just call their Worldwide toll free # and ask them.
-
I didn't see anything. I'm new to this so I will check again.

When looking at the points chart for the NCL credit card, it says double points for certain hotels/airlines. Does anyone know which hotels/airlines qualify for double points by using my NCL credit card?

Where is a good place to stay pre-cruise out of New York City? We are from Pennsylvania and will be on I-80 (going east) that ends right before NYC. We booked a hotel in New Jersey off I-80, but there are mixed reviews for the hotel. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

Totally agree. Wish I had more $ to support my cruise addiction!🙂

I've never sailed in The Haven, but did a Panama Canal cruise. It was always at the top of my bucket list. You won't regret it.

Joy does not have a thermal spa if that's what you're looking for.
-
We also enjoy the extra space in the bathroom, but everyone has their own opinion. A few cruises ago we booked a club balcony for the first time. Now that's the only type of cabin we will book because of the bigger bathroom.

Following closely since we will be on same itinerary on the new Prima in May 2023. Anxious to hear about the Norfolk stop. Still puzzled as to why Norfolk?
-
Unfortunately, this is one of the reasons I don't book on NCL Joy. The thermal spa is a main draw for me.

Definitely Cartagena! We did the Panama Canal partial transit on the Pearl and loved it! Tip: Buy a thermal spa pass. I did and during our Panama Canal transit, I went to the thermal spa and sat on one of their loungers during the entire transit. I had a bird's eye up close view of everything. I was the only one in the spa during the transit. Apparently, no one else thought to do this. BTW a thermal spa pass gives you access to their spa all week.

Love the Epic thermal spa. Well worth the $. After a day of touring, nothing is more relaxing than to spend and hour (or two) in the thrmal spa.

I had a thermal spa pass on the Pearl when we did the Panama Canal partial transit. When doing the PC transit, I went to the thermal spa and sat on a lounger during the whole transit and had a ringside seat. No one else was in the spa. Apparently, no one else thought of this idea.🙂

Tours are offered in the dock area. They are much cheaper than booking them through the ship. There's a nice mini-golf course that is very challenging near the dock area, but I can't remember the name of it. Lots of fun! Nice shopping and a mini-mall also in the dock area.

Odyssey cabin suggestions
in Royal Caribbean International

We are looking at a cruise on Odyssey of the Seas. Suggestions needed for a cabin location that has a balcony and a walk-in shower (no tub because of mobility issues). Price range is optional. Also any other pro/con comments about Odyssey would be appreciated. TIA!
