  1. Most likely this port stop will be canceled to save fuel and the environment.🤭
  2. These first world problems are reaching pandemic and fighting words proportions. I would open up a formal complaint with ncl management.🤣
  3. It was 11 hours nonstop from Newark. Was offered a first class upgrade for 300.00p.p......jumped on it.
  4. If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen, the Macdonalds, the gas station, the grocery store and the (used to be) Dollar store. Can't do that because you need to drive and eat then give up something you don't have to have like cruising. Love these first world rants. Move to Maui see how it is there.
  5. And the Speedo limit has been all but abolished!
  6. Any word from NCL on Western Caribbean or Bermuda itinerary changes?
  7. Sounds like a great place to visit!
  8. Over 5 grand for two in a balcony cabin. 4 nights......not! Plus air of course.
  9. Wonder why they didn't try taking an Uber to the border then walk through to Canada then get a ride to Vancouver.
  10. https://roanoke.com/news/local/norwegian-cruise-line-jewel-denies-refund-flight-delays-travel-insurance/article_15dbad74-3e0a-11ee-a545-cba280027d28.html I was able to read the article for free at the link above. So a Eye Surgeon spends $60k and does not by trip insurance in these days of dicey plane travel? Boo Hoo. The lady (mentioned in the article)who did buy the insurance from NCL should of bought it from a reputable insurance provider. One thing is indisputable, conditions of carriage are stacked in the cruise lines favor and in some circumstances unfairly. We gave up on cruising since the covid era.....glad we did. We had a good run cruising and will keep it that way.
  11. As much as you can afford based on your desire to indulge. Wish I had your dilemma.
  12. We would pass on the drink package in lieu of ordering a bar setup for our room. Not sure if they still have this. It is way pricey but since it's cheaper and more convenient then the drink package. Your liquor choice from a list they have will be in your cabin when you arrive. It can be a challenge to have enough ice however. If the bar setup is still available you will need to order it BEFORE you board. Call NCL and inquire. I like making my own drinks in my cabin the way I like them. We would order a glass of wine here and a beer there and pay for that will obc.
  13. Just when you thought NCL'S degradation has bottomed out they still seen to find new ways to screw their customers.
  14. Your writing style and descriptions of this unfortunate event are superb. Reminds me of a poster way back named Sailor Jack and his adventures on a South American cruise when his NCL cruise ship was stuck in a bay for a number of days. This was due to another ship carrying cars in front of them lost a few of them and clogged the channel. Hopefully this won't happen to the Prima on your cruise! With all the cruise lines trying to lure customers to their brand with race cars, thrill rides etc, in the end it's the way customer service treats its passengers that people remember.
  15. Do I need a double bathroom sink on a cruise? Rather have the counter space if there are no towel hooks/ racks. It's like buying a Mercedes with crank windows🤣
  16. It's hard for me to believe that after all the calls to NCL they would not see their error (if there is one) and correct the problem. Why would they want the all the negative attention to their brand for $5k. One thing for sure NCL needs some smarter more capable customer service people. My mil still uses EarthLink!
  17. Our first cruise was on the Carnival Triumph in October1999. It was a 5 day cruise from Manhattan to Halifax Nova Scotia, with a stop in St. Johns. We paid $326.00 p.p. for a inside cabin. Boy it was dark in there! Remember looking in a cabin across the hall that was a balcony cabin when the room was being cleaned and no one was around. We have cruised 13 more times since and never in a inside cabin. I remember the chocolate fountain or waterfall and being run over by the portly cruisers in the midnight buffet line. Sailing down the Hudson was very cool as well. We have not cruised since covid and are not likely to either, too much has changed and not for the better. Cruising is not the same value it used to be.
  18. Tell her your a food critic for Bon Appetit magazine and moderately drunk.
