Pretty much all mixed drinks fall in that price category. Primarily the only liquors more expensive than that are the aged selections that are rarely mixed.
You only only notifying them of your preference. Actual dining time will be assigned when you board and will be listed on the cruise card. With Fantastica you have priority for one of the early seating but it is still not guaranteed.
Just email them the DD214 and include your booking number. It is 5% for interior and OV and 10% above. It is not combinable so the 5% they give everyone with the Voyages Club will be a wash on the lower category cabins.
Strange....I looked at a 1/2 dozen sailings earlier for this fall on the Seashore and none offered with option for wifi.....it was only the first two above.
Yes....they could use another bartender or two at pretty much every bar. Our last they were running Alchemy with 2 bartenders and if you drink there you know how slow that will be given what goes into the drinks.
No....pretty much non-existent. But nearly everyone has Cheers now so they aren't really selling you anything. Before drink packages became the norm you couldn't turn around without meeting someone with a tray of drinks.
Mostly....the buffet was pretty smooth all in all.
Yes....pizza had huge lines every night. Painfully slow.
For number 1 you will be locked to one device. If you can hotspot to share that connection with other devices will depend on your device. Many will not hotspot a wifi connection at all and some only will if there is also cell signal which you won't have.
Check it before you leave.....put your phone in airplane mode and connect to wifi....see if you can hotspot it.
We now get as close to 1pm as possible. The extra 1 1/2 to 2 hours is just time spent in a chaotic environment that is anything but a relaxing start to a vacation. I would rather get on at 1, go to a now emptying buffet for lunch and when I get done head straight to the cabin since they are ready.
I guess it depends on the time. We went on the Mardi Gras in Jan and it was $350 more including drink packages on both lines. In May it was no comparison, MSC was $1k cheaper including drinks. Unfortunately even saving $1k has us wondering if it was 'worth it'. Some parts of the cruise were great, others were a disaster.
For us if the price is close we will choose Carnival every time. For our preferences MSC just cannot compete with Carnival in the food aspect from top to bottom. MSC has a boring and repetitive buffet, little to no included venues outside of the MDR and buffet, a subpar dining schedule that includes a 9:30pm seating and painfully slow service times of 2+ hours.
Our last cruise on the Seaside we ended up with the late seating and the maître-d was unable to accommodate an earlier time. We walked out of the dining room around 11:20pm our first evening and that was skipping desert. That was simply not and option for us the rest of the week and we were stuck with a lackluster buffet for dinner.
