  1. It was 9.95 per person on NCL and automatically charged everyone in your room whether you wanted it or not and was spotty at best. Used it a couple of weeks ago on Carnival Sunrise and had no trouble. Well worth the $5.00 to be able to keep up with everyone in my group.
  2. We did this a couple of weeks ago and it's one of the best tours I've ever done. Paul was informative, insightful, passionate and informed. We spent the day in his very nice and comfortable tour van. We saw sights that you won't get to see from a cruise ship excursion. I highly recommend it!
  3. Did this departing October 6th and got caught in Tropical Storm Melissa. Missed two ports (Boston and Portland). So yeah, no predicting the weather. 😩
  4. I just got off Sunrise and that was my experience as well. I was extremely disappointed and I also noticed an increase in prices. Definitely a huge step backwards for Carnival 😩
  5. If you know your cabin numbers, you can look up the deck plans and click on them and it tells you "max number of guests".
  6. Thanks Carol! I had everything all planned out including luggage storage prior to Carnival moving our pier and I was totally at a loss as to where we will be geographically. This helps a lot. We'll be NYC prior to the cruise so we already have 911 Memorial tickets, but these other options are great. Thank you so much.
  7. We are also docking in Brooklyn now (was Manhattan) and looking for something to do since our flight isn't until 3:40. Can you tell me if there is anything to do near the Wall Street area if we take the ferry?
  8. You can asked to be seated with others in the MDR. It is done all the time.
  9. Actually, some countries it has to be valid for 6 months after you arrive. For mediterranean cruise even though ours didn't expire for 4 months after the cruise, we had to renew. Same was true when we flew to Mexico. Good idea to check before you travel, there is a whole list of countries that follow the 6 month rule, even if you are visiting via a cruise ship.
  10. Parking at the pier is fast and easy. If you get there at 10:00 you could easily be checked in and sitting in waiting area by 10:30 and if everything goes well, on the ship by 11:00 or shortly thereafter! Enjoy your cruise.
  11. Thanks, that's what I was thinking as well. We are coming in prior to cruise, was just trying to decide if we could do something other than hanging out at LGA after departing. Surprisingly, CCL is not offering any tours post cruise. Thank you for your help.
  12. So not enough time to do anything other than grab a bite?
  13. We are scheduled to dock at 8:00 on Sunday, October 13th. Our flight out of LGA is at 3:40. Would we have time to do anything, or should we proceed to LGA? Thank you
  14. I used it when we cruised from Barcelona. It worked out well and was significantly cheaper than if we had booked on our own. I was a die hard "NO WAY am I letting someone else book for me" ... but for the reason mentioned above, I did. They put me on a flight I didn't like, I called my PVP and she changed it. She was willing to work with me to get on the right airlines/times I wanted. I was able to pick my seats, etc. It was definitely worth it. If I do Europe again, I would look into it for sure.
