We used to watch people doing this on the webcam, but they have shut it down for some reason, now it just shows an empty runway !

I thought hand luggage was just that, luggage you kept to hand with valuables and meds etc... so how did it end up in the water ?
also you said there was nothing valuable in there, yet refused $300, that's valuable to me..
am I missing something here

WOW........ she couldn't handle keeping baby away from the pool for a week, it's called being a parent !.....if this was me, I would be more worried about my one year old catching an illness from others...baby is only one, and not developed a full immune system,
What they don't see, they don't miss, would it have been too difficult to take baby somewhere else, or do as we did and get a small paddling pool for the baby, even have it on the balcony ?

A few years ago we were on Freedom and a couple had 2 dogs with them, a male and a female, the dogs each had a matching outfit for everything, and I mean matching their owners, the lady carried the female dog while the male carried the male dog, they had matching formal and casual outfits, then matching outfits for each port, the lady wore red shorts and a red Hawaiian shirt, and the dog wore the same...the man wore blue shorts and blue hawaiian shirt and the dog wore the same.,
they matched the dogs to everything they wore every day, they even had matching swimwear !!! not that the dogs ever got in the pool, but we saw the owners sunbathing by the pool with the dogs at their feet in doggy like speedos and the female in a doggy bikini
these dogs always created a circus around them with everyone saying how cute they were and touching them, was a sight to see

That would really bother me, a dog on someone's lap on a flight, I am highly allergic to dogs and would spend my very expensive holiday with flu like symptoms because someone couldn't go for an hour without their dog on their knee

We met a lovely couple 6 years ago, it was their first cruise and they got chatting to us at the pre-cruise hotel, we met up with them every night for a drink, everybody enjoyed themselves and we still email, text and phone each other every month...we have done a further 4 cruises with them, and love them to bits

We have been on 12 cruises with Royal Caribbean, all of them through a TA, though we do get a very small discount as she puts us in a group cabin, we have never, ever had any perks or OBC, I have asked and they just smile lol.
and it's not just the one we use, it's all of them......don't know if this is a UK thing, but I'd be interested to know

Don't think that is a brilliant line up to be honest, most of them have been trying to make a comeback for years on the ''big reunion'' programmes on tv....I remember seeing most of them first time round, makes me feel old that they are still out there LOL
:-)

would it be a big problem if they did stamp your passport ?
-
We always take our own too, adds a lot of weight to the suitcase but at least we have peace of mind not being allergic to what we know :-)

Should be in your stateroom when you arrive, I think they are already activated, when we get them for our daughter she just goes straight to the machine to fill up.

I remember a few years ago, I think it was FOS, we were told no travel steamers, but once we got onboard, they were selling them in the shop !

Royal Caribbean use a smallish thin plastic bag, you have to be careful not to poke your fingers through it, and also leave enough space at the top to tie it closed

A LAST........ now it all makes sense, thanks for the explanation
LOL

wow, Congratulations
I agree with everyone above, just wanted to add.......
if you go on a diy excursion, please, please make sure you are back to the ship on time or they will sail without you,
for our first cruise we went with ship excursions, as the ship will wait if there is a group missing, so when we done our second cruise we were a bit braver and done some excursions on our own..
Whatever you do, I hope you and your first husband have a wonderful trip, relax and enjoy

And there is the answer.........
if the windjammer is open later, then no-one will pay for room service.
So if they shut everything around 9:30 ish, the only option IS room service, so they get their $7.95 or whatever it is.

We flew into Newark last year from Scotland UK, for a 2 night stay at the beginning of our cruise, there was 3 of us with heavy luggage.
We got a slighty larger taxi at the airport, to our hotel just off Times Square and it was $100 each way

My dad and his wife will be sailing from Malaga on the Discovery 2 on 11th June,
my stepmother was wanting to know if they would be allowed to take a bottle of vodka on with them to use for the 2 week cruise ?
Thanks in advance

I'm sure if you choose My time dining then gratuities need to be paid up front

Managed to change back to old format last week, but today it has opened in the new format but editing options are grayed out, so looks like I'm stuck with it, if so, I might need to find a new cruise forum as this hurts my eyes !

WOW, I feel like I'm missing out here, you all talk about perks from a TA,
Here in the UK, I have booked a 2 week holiday every year with the same TA, we have done 11 cruises and 10 trips to Disney at a rough cost of £6,000 per holiday and I have never even had a bottle of wine from them LOL
Think I need to go TA hunting when I'm in the US in August

from what I remember you can ask for extra laundry bags, but it's $34.99 per bag, wash and fold is usually couple of days

apologies, I saw 1st then post later lol
automatically thought it was a first cruise...no harm done :-)
Absolutely appalling behavior from a Diamond member

We turned Diamond about 3 years ago but have never actually sailed as diamond yet, I had 2 heart attacks just after my 50th birthday and the insurance at the moment is to high for us to fly to the states for a cruise,
However, I don't really care what level I am, life is a bonus, cruising is a bonus, and any perks received is a bonus......... I don't care what I get for being diamond, I'm just happy to be on a ship.
Manners cost nothing, no matter what level you are, everyone deserves a little respect.
