Hi Mr T We'll be joining you on the Equinox next week. I'm hoping we won't be getting the same cabin steward as you. We've never had a bad cabin steward on Celebrity. In your situation I would write a note to the Hotel Director. We've only ever had one terrible cabin steward. that was on an NCL cruise. One day early in the cruise we didn't get the usual evening turn down and another day our room was never serviced. When we complained to him about it he said "It's not my fault." After that we complained to housekeeping and the service improved. I'm hoping the rest of your cruise is much better. Since you are on the ship now I do have two questions. Who is the Cruise Director? How has the entertainment been? Hope to meet you on the ship. Barbara

We are thinking about booking on the Apex. This would be our first cruise on an E class ship. It's already a compromise for us because we don't think we'll love the so-called balcony cabins. I've been looking at pictures of the outdoor decks and am concerned that there seem to be very few shaded areas except of course for the high cost cabanas. I hope I'm wrong. Can experienced Edge class cruisers please weigh in. Thanks

So there are no longer any "premium wines" in the premium package. The Elegance Cab which I drank last January for $11 is now priced at $19. The other wines I was looking forward to trying at no extra cost are now all above the premium package. Celebrity is making a mistake for the sake of 2 to 5 bucks a glass. I will pay this on my two booked cruises but they are likely to be the last cruises I book with them. Their bookings are strong now but how long will they stay strong when passengers find out that they don't get the experience they paid for?

A cruiser who is currently on the Silhouette posted the disturbing news that X has raised the price of many glasses of wine above the Premium price limit. The wine lists on the app for my January cruise show the prices I was expecting when I upgraded to the Premium package. I am hoping that someone who is currently on an X ship can post the current wine lists from the app.

Last January Elegance Cabernet was $11 a glass: now it's $19. That's a 72.27% increase. I'm astonished. And very annoyed. There can be no justification for an increase of that size. So I upgraded to the premium package and now there are no premium red wines in the package. This may be the straw that breaks the camel's back. X is begging for me to cruise with another company after 30 cruises with them.

I'm not sure how this turned into a bash Perry fest. We love Perry's act. We have booked cruises specifically to see him. If that makes us groupies, so be it. We are far from the only ones.

Parking is very expensive at Bayonne and you could be parked a fair distance from the ship. After driving there and parking once we have only gone by taxi or Uber. I's a lot easier and sometimes less expensive.

We were on the Jan 30 Silhouette cruise and had a much better time than the reviews made me worry about. We were in Blu for the first time so couldn't compare it with the way things used to be and we didn't experience the MDR (the place we ate dinner on our many past cruises). We were quite happy with the food in Blu. Our waiter and assistant waiter for breakfast and dinner (Adolf and Andrezza could not have been better.) I actually did order the onion soup from the MDR menu one night and it wasn't as good as I remember. But given that we ate rack of lamb, filet mignon, duck breast and some really delicious fish, not tilapia incidentally, there really wasn't anything for me to complain about. We only ate lunch in the buffet and didn't notice much of a change. I was prepared to be disappointed by the disappearance of tea time but at least on that cruise the scones were there. I thought the entertainment was fine. There was a lot of music around the ship- the party band was great and the featured performers were excellent. So we booked another cruise on the Silhouette for next year. It was much more expensive than what we paid for the 2023 cruise but we thought it was worth the price. Compared to an ocean view room in the Hollywood Marriott with no food or entertainment, it's actually cheap.

Elite cruisers get free coffees and teas at Al Bacio so that's your go to for good take out coffee.

We'll be on the Anthem in January. I know from experience that the surf package does not work for me. We are diamond so I get 24 hours free. That means I'd get one day off the package($26.99) if i book off the ship or $66 off shipboard prices if I book it now. I guess I've answered my own question. BUT should I wait until black Friday to book or is $20.99 a day as good a price as I'll get?
