  1. This topic seems to generate new threads almost daily. As everyone continues to share - way more open up later. And by the way - I HATED the idea of a main dining room and you ge assigned Early or Late. Period.
  2. I just looked at this schedule and it says Aquatic Club. (pool) https://spark-aws.virginvoyages.com/api/v1/ext/ddp/618f05232eaf6a1a16e17505/2023-04-08#events WARNING - To anyone seeing this link for the first time - it is VERY subject to changes.
  3. I travel with small scissors all the time. Never had issue with any cruiseline or airport. With that said... it only takes one power hungry person to decide to take it.
  4. And by the way, the website is clear about the dates. TRAVEL DATES Dec 17, 2022 - Mar 15, 2024
  5. Lots of "sharing" but here is the REAL ANSWER. There is a $600 bar tab deal promotion. Direct Quote from Virgin Website WHAT YOU GET 50% off your 2nd Sailor’s 2023 voyage Up to $600 in premium drinks for you to share for 7 (or more) night voyages per cabin Up to $300 in premium drinks sailing 6 nights or less per cabin Over $600 of value including 20+ eateries, group fitness, tips, and more
  6. Same age bracket. Loved our Nov cruise and going again in April. We tend to not attend many activities when cruising and just chill out between eating and drinking - LOL! Had a great time.
  7. I will echo the older phones and security issues. Some of the "holes" in old code can not be patched without updating. Be stubborn, but be aware.
  8. Transfer to Virgin Red - not Flying Club. Works great. If a bit unsure, transfer 1,000 points first to see that it works. Yes, it seems too good to be true, but it does work fine - as long as they still have cabins.
  9. As to shuttle pricing, most are PER PASSENGER where rideshare/etc is per vehicle. As to the plan to roll off at 10:30 - that's cool. But what if you change your mind and decide to leave at 9:30? Anything preplanned goes out the window.
  10. Easiest, quickest, simple way it to take an uber, lyft or cab. And best part - you DO NOT HAVE TO MEET THEIR SCHEDULE. for example, if you schedule a 9:30 am private transfer, you are FORCED to adjust your schedule on the last day to insure you not only get off in time, but clear customs on time, etc. When booked via the cruiseline, they then book it with another party. Way too many places for a screwup in my mind. It is only 15 minutes to the airport. Easy stuff.
  11. Check out the post below from March 11th. Discussed quite a bit. Apparently they open up lots more closer to cruise... on boarding day for sure. We are doing the April 8th and were able to find a few but not what we wanted.
  12. CORRECTION: I now see that the $300 or $600 bar tab has been extended into March. Did not see it when I checked earlier. My bad!
  13. Your title needs to change. There is no sailer loot via referrals anymore. There is no longer any $600 deal. Bar tab sometimes gives extra bucks. Right now it is prepay $300 and they give you $50 extra so you then have $350 prepaid. If you do not do this, you just pay for drinks normally.
  14. When/how can you make reservations for this. I do not see it on the app.
  15. what are these "checked" bags folks speak of? LOL - our last 4 cruises were all carryon and we are lovin it!
  16. Good point. And could be a good discussion. Is it okay for some people to ask for a better seat above other guest onboard? FYI - I am not saying either is a great idea and I am happy if they do NOT give preference to anyone.
  17. As to restaurant, we sail April 8th and almost no restaurants available to book. We were able to book everything in advance on Nov cruise last year.
  18. Okay, I get the no tipping onboard. There are a few tables we would love to get - especially in the Wake. Do they take tips there - or just ask nicely?
  19. Friend booked this cruise deal with April sailing. Based on posts above, he will not get the $600 booze deal. BUT - has anyone here booked their cruise using points and the $600 shows?
  20. Not purple. Only sailed in 2022. So - no luck.
  21. hmmm... sort of greyed out like all the badges. but it lets me click on it. Maybe just letting me know what is possible someday?
  22. Now I am really confused. My "badges" says I am Sea-Blazer. Just looked at friends account that has never booked, and never sailed and their account says the same thing?????
  23. As title says, I should be able to buy bar tab, but do not see where/how. An extra $125 for every pre-paid Bar Tab purchase You’ll automatically receive $125 for every $300 pre-paid Bar Tab purchase anytime you set sail with us.
  24. They seem to be having some email problems today. Booking email took a few hours to come through. Normally instant. Friend is trying to set up account... been waiting all day to get confirmation/verification email. Just an FYI!
  25. I am confused when you say "only a portion of the fee was give". If this is basically "free" after using your points, what fee is this?
