  2. Hi. When the 2 new ships entered Aust last year.I was eager to try the Edge and Virgins Resilient Lady ship. Having just got home from an 11 night cruise on the Resilient Lady she certainly lived up to the great expectations I have we had a great time. I could not fault it. Hoping to book the Edge to N.Z. again for Msrch to compare in my opinion the ship is the destination. Any thoughts on the Celebrity Edge ship. Thanks in advance

  13. Hi I was wondering if many of cruise critic members have booked a cruise on the 2 new ships coming to Aust later this year. I know they are fairly new especially the Virgin one. At the moment the cheapest cabins are round $300aust per night. Do you think they will come down in price as the time get closer to arrival here in Aust. Your thoughts would be very much appreciated. Regards Zanny
  14. Thanks for all your replies I was just interested how long people think this will go on for. I have had 5 covid jabs and also still wear a mask and face shield everytime I go out in public still. Regards Zanny
  15. Hi Was just wondering what peoples views are on when all the covid isolation and test rules could end for cruise ships in Australia.. I am not against the rules by any means but seeing in most parts of the world now on cruises there aren't any restrictions to isolate etc if you test positive. Surely the rules can't go on forever. This is mainly curiosity on what others think Thanks Zanny
  16. Hi. Was wondering if they still do ice carving on Australian cruises.Recently I was on P&O and they never had it .I am sure years ago they had it Thanks Tanya
  17. We missed Wellington on Pacific Explorer 3 weeks ago due to bad weather and was about 4 to 5 hours late arriving at the others. Alot got covid on this trip as it was a 14 day cruise every one had to wear masks from day 8. I wore mine from day 1.Husband tested positve 2 days after we arrived home. I have escaped it.I felt sorry for alot of the older passengers as they had been looking forward to visiting N.Z. for ages Regards Zanny
  18. Hi What ship are you going on.? Just off Pacific Explorer and hubby has cpap machine..We took a powerboard one WITHOUTSURGE PROTECTION. as they aren't allowed and an extension cord we had 1 Australian power point. He always uses boiled water which you can get from cabin steward. Also on P&O ships you can't even take unopened bottle water has to be in cans. Also think it depends on what company ship you are going on. Hope this helps . Regards,Zanny
  19. Hi All. Well just of Pacific Explorer today after 14 day cruise. Lots of cabins in iso with covid. Not many people wearing masks the first week. From Tuesday 21st March all staff and passengers had to wear masks indoors. I wore mine from day 1 and a face shield and never took the lifts so far all good. I was very careful every where. Most people were just carrying on like covid never existed which surprised me Regards Zanny
  20. Hi Just off Pacific Explorer today had face washers and tissues in cabin Regards Zanny

  22. Hi.We are going 14 day cruise to N.Z. leaving from Adelaide .How many warmer clothes would we need to pack to wear during the day there. I really don't want to fill my case up with lots of jumpers coats etc. As the ship will either have air-conditioning on or if it's cold heating. We will be leaving in 1 weeks time. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Zanny.
  23. Hi Well we have about 4 Sea days straight not counting the 1st day. Now I don't think they have to wear the masks on the ship now. We won't be flying Hope we stay safe as I am very sensible regarding covid never had it will be using stairs etc Thanks Zanny
