  1. We did the 10 day out Vancouver to Hawaii cruise last fall on Celebrity. Had an aft stateroom. Wow, weather was incredible especially at about 3 days out, started getting warmer on balcony. Some rain at beginning but so what. Thought that 5 days at sea would be rough, but honestly I loved those 5 sea days. Would do again. Now am ready for a reposition cruise on the Atlantic. Mark
  2. We were in Amsterdam a few years ago (loved that city, wow!), stayed in Museum district, so did a test run the day before on the tram from hotel to the ship/dock. Not a problem with no bags, but so glad we took a shared cab to the ship. Would have been an issue of lugging the bags on the tram and the good two hundred yards to the front doors of the Movenpick passenger terminal. Take the Uber. Mark
  3. We loved the Equinox, had an aft sky suite, wonderful time. Interesting to have a butler and a room steward. One takes care of you the other takes care of the room. Just wonderful. Mark
  4. We were on the solstice from Vancouver, BC to Hawaii this last fall, went immediately to Luminae for lunch with carry-on’s, 2:00, good burger (hint, that thing was huge, split it, great flavor), nice lunch menu, good selection. Not so impressed with evening food in Luminae, well prepared just not an experience we would do again, sorry, honestly I like Blu better when we sailed in Aqua. Michaels Club a nice before dinner choice, was never asked for cruise card, good choice of snacks. One evening a Scotch tasting for all present in Michaels. Enjoy your cruise. Mark
  5. We docked Newhaven harbor 8/2016 off the Silhouette for two days. Tendering from harbor about 15/20 min. We were attending the Aug Tattoo at the Royal Castle so got back to the harbor midnight. What a fun time. Instead of a cab, took a rickshaw (60 Euros), once in a lifetime. Heard many others scrambling for cabs, but rickshaws were plentiful and lots of fun. Newhaven is a small harbor easy to board ships tender, no problems. Mark
  6. Coming up on our 3rd CC cruise, this upcoming on the Solstice to Hawaii in Aqua stateroom. We book Aqua for the venue of Blu, incredible offering, portions, quality on our past. Yes, we also love the specialty restaurants, best was the Lawn Club Grill, wow!! But you’ll love Blu. Have not visited the MDR on past cruises, so can’t comment.
