My dh did a couple of tastings at Notes last fall on the Rotterdam. He enjoyed them both. He will happily do them again when available.

You can have the educator’s obc as well as the shareholder’s obc

HAL honoured the per diem rate for a 22 day cruise when we rebooked and added the $100 pp OBC

This would be a cancellation before the cruise starts.

How are you reimbursed for an insurance claim? If you cancel a shore excursion, the payment is refunded to the cc used. With an insurance claim it isn’t HAL refunding the money but a third party, correct? We really don’t want a huge amount refunded to a cc. Any information and advice would be appreciated. Thank you

16 day cruise on Zaandam in January. HIA with gratuities included. We never came close to the daily drink limit. We were credited with 16 sea days and 16 bonus days at the end of the cruise.

@laura1960 Thank you for your review. We are looking forward to our Noordam cruise in March. Although we have been on her sister ships, it will be our first cruise on her. Our stateroom is very near yours so happy to hear it’s a good location.

Our upcoming cruise, Auckland to Vancouver, is a 39 day Collector’s Voyage. A similar cruise of 36 days next year is called a Grand Voyage. Is it just marketing? Curious🤷‍♀️

Some staterooms have the wonderful new showers. We have one booked for 2024

Our wine always arrived quickly on the Zaandam, 8pm fixed dining. The first night in the MDR, our wonderful server asked, “would you like a double?” Hmmmm, what a good idea. ☺️

I would have enjoyed listening to the classical duo but they played in the Explorer’s Lounge and I thought it was freezing there. We traveled with friends and he found the temperature perfect🤷‍♀️ Our room temperature was easily adjusted. I do like it cool for sleeping although my husband describes that as Arctic camping.

We disembarked the Zaandam on Saturday after a 16 day cruise. We like 8pm fixed dining and had a great time in the MDR. Our servers, Agangga and Sattwika, were excellent, personable and efficient. We spent 28 days on the Rotterdam in October and had great service in the MDR. We will be on the Noordam for 39 days starting March 25th, again with 8pm fixed dining. We love the Pinnacle class ships but thoroughly enjoyed being on a smaller ship again.
