  1. My wife says I now rattle when I walk

    due to the cardio-meds I take, post-STEMI.

I swallow about 8 pills a day (and night)
but WTH they keep me alive so I can cruise again, some day!

    And by the way:

Heart Attack and Stroke are the same thing -

Cardio-Vascular Disease.   One manifests in the heart..

    the other.....in the brain.

  2. And by the way...all you cardio-people..

I have this amazing cardio-educational App on my phone

    and on the iPad...

it is issued by the American College of Cardiology

for the purpose of educating us lay-people

to explain to us, graphically, what's going on in there!

    CardioSmart Explorer

    My cardiologist thanked me..
saying "Thanks for bringing this to my attention!"

I've learned a lot from it,

have turned-on many others to it,

and use it every now and then, to show folks this and that.

  3. Those pics of Carlisle Bay are stock pics,

some/most of them taken years ago but, tbh,

general conditions on CBay don't change much, over years,

other than the beach slowly gets wider and wider, incrementally!

  4. And another thing...

It won't hurt to carry an extra 3-4 days worth of daily meds

just in case your travel adventure/cruise

takes an unexpected, unforseen turn, due to weather or whatever!
    Because ship happens!

Remember the ppl on Carnival Triumph, whose 7 day cruise
turned into nearly two weeks? OK.. that sorta scenario!
Better to have extra meds and not need them, than vice versa!

  5. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

You're not the first person to be travelling

    with loads of prescribed meds!

Keep your meds in the labelled containers

that were issued to you, at source,

so they can read Exactly What it is, plus dates, dosages, etc.

They should have a fun time with me,

next time I travel with multiple cardiac meds: I swallow

about 8-9 tablets a day to keep the heart running

after my STEMI in May 2020....but like I said,

neither you or I are the first ppl to travel with lotsa meds!

Thanks for the info on Pebbles Beach. Could not really pin point where it was in relation to Brownes.  Now I know.  Do you know how far it is away from Brownes and if they rent chairs, rest rooms, etc.  at Pebbles.

Pebbles is on one side of that jetty sticking-out..
and Yacht Club beach and Browne's Beach are on the other side

(closer to Bridgetown and the Port).

Yes, I see chair and umbrella rentals at Pebbles, regularly
and there is an NCC Hut there with showers and toilets.
    NCC = National Conservation Commission.

    Hope this helps?

  7. Yeaahh... Carlisle Bay is one big sweeping arc of a beach

with a few different names, per section: much of a muchness, really!

The farthest-away (from the dock), and nearing the Hilton Hotel

is called Pebbles Beach -see picture below.

so called because there was once a beachside restaurant there

by that name...back in the 1960s (most locals have NO idea why! lol)

That's exactly the problem. The card stock might be that old.

Card stock might be that old but

the laminate layer goes on with your info printed on it,

    just before you arrive!

    Incidentally,

they used to change the cute card design (around mid-year)

every two years or so, but not sure if that still obtains.
