and are the best deal, unless you simply have to have a balcony

for either claustrophobia reasons or status!

The food is good local food, and the servings are generous.

The range of KFC products available on the island

is not like your extensive list Stateside.

We don't get biscuits for example,   but we do get Popcorn Chicken

which is our preference on those Just Say No To Cooking nites!

WCB's reports on their cruises on the HAL Message Board have mentioned chicken being prevalent as a desired food when they have visited Barbados. 

Why chicken?  If you are able to offer a possible reason.  

Lowered meat cost could be one reason.

Chickens are quick and easy to rear. Cows take awhile.

A bit of history

When Mr. Heal opened the very first KFC in Barbados  -early 1970s-

it was set up at Hasting(where I see it near-daily)

and we were told, the next year after it started,

that KFC Hastings had accomplished their Record Sales that year, worldwide!

and then a fresh variant of Covid, which we seem to have here in Barbados.

But by now

the Barbados public is well trained in mask-wearing, hand sanitizing etc

and it's only the careless who are coming down with it.

Don't let it stop you coming ashore here, though...

A porter walks over, takes one of the bags and asks where is my tip? I was like... tip for what? He said in order for my bags to make it on the ship... I said where is your supervisor and I followed him as he pointed toward where he was. I asked the supervisor for his name and if this is your practice? He said no and called over the porter who of course denied saying it...I took a picture of the Supervisor and I told him I hold him responsible for my luggage making it on the ship and that was that.

Anyway, my bags did make it on the ship

but certainly not the way I wanted to start off a cruise.
