Same questions I was about to ask. Was hoping you had a better experience. I was considering the similar ships excursion but dreading the cable car back down. The one recent review on the Carnival website isn't very good. At least I have a little time to decide which stress level I want to have that day 😀

When I was in Venice in May, I had a 25 inch bag & backpack. We stayed near Piazzale Roma and only one bridge to deal with. That experience is my motivation for COO next time 😄 You mentioned that your last train segment was a regional train. Did you have to make a change? I'm just starting to research the train from Rome to Venice and thought the Frecciarrosa trains were direct to S Lucia station? I'm finding the Trenitalia website a little confusing.

Following! Looking forward to your review. I'm doing this cruise in October 2024 with 2 of my son's. This will be our 3rd try as we were also canceled in 2020 & 2021. Do you know what the latest time to board the cruise? We will have 1 night before the cruise and trying to plan our limited time in Rome before boarding. Also going to Venice post cruise so very interested in your train experience 😀
