  1. Yes it does.
  2. The New York Strip Steak on the Joy this August was tough to chew.
  3. We can't hear the announcements very well, because everyone keeps talking when the captain is speaking.
  4. That's what we had in our balcony cabin on the Joy. Coffee was very good. I do wish that the coffee makers were in the rooms, without our having to ask for them.
  5. Me too. I've seen them all, and especially the JOY. We just sailed on her last month. Waiting for New Mighty Cruise ship shows. With so many new ships out, it's time to update the Mighty Cruise Ship Shows.
  6. Hopefully freestyle dining will not go away.
  7. I was told by my nurse practitioner, that Paxlovid can cause a relapse of Covid. I chose not to take Paxlovid and recovered within the 5--10 days. My case was very mild, no more than a cold in 2022.
  8. I wish that NCL would not descecrate the Observation Lounge. on the Joy. It was my favorite place to sit and enjoy the sea. It was always busy in there. Enlarging the swimming pool would be a great idea, if they could do that instead.
  9. You should still go. It was her decision not to go at that time. Don't cancel. Maybe next time the two of you can choose a time that will be mutually acceptable.
  10. Do whatever you can afford which will give you two bathrooms. It will be so helpful with getting ready in the morning, Four people with one bathroom is tough.
  11. Ship happens when cruising during hurricane season. When the Joy was in Bermuda, could anyone get off of the ship?
  12. I am sapphire and my husband is gold. He is now Platinum, after our last cruise. We were given 1 free bag of laundry, and 1 $29.00 bag on the Aug. 20---30 cruise on the Joy.
  13. We got one by asking our steward . Actually, I think that balcony cabins and upward are entitled to have them.. Coffee makers should remain in the rooms without being removed. I also thought that we are entitled to robes, but there were none.
  14. I remember having to stand on a crowded open deck, and watch a crewmember go through the motions of putting on a life vest. He wouldn't begin his demonstration until all the passengers assigned to our section were present and accounted for. In later times, we did the muster call in the theater or a restaurant. This was somewhat better, because we could sit. Yeah, Once or twice to watch the video at home should be enough. Life vests used to be stored in the cabin closet. We didn't find any there on our last cruise.
  15. To avoid any hassles with Jewelry purchases, buy from your local jeweler.
  16. I printed ours today, for an August 20 cruise.
  17. Resort casual always works on NCL cruises. I'm glad that Formal Night has gone the way of the do do bird, but my husband and I will wear nicer clothing for dinner.
  18. Insurance is not mandatory, but is recommended. One never knows what could happen.
  19. I'm sure that you can arrange something with the drivers who line up ready to take passengers for excursions. Your time will be limited, so plan very carefully. Keep travel time in mind. You need to be back on board the ship at least 1 half hour before sailaway. Another option would be a ship-trip. They get you there and back on time, and if they run late, the ship will wait for you. Not always the case with private tours.
  20. I am upset about the observation lounge being broken up. Years ago, NCL removed the Spinnaker Lounge from the Dawn, and replaced it with suites. The lounge was moved to the stern of the ship and has very few windows. Customers complained, so the Dawn's sister ship was not renovated like that. We like our observation lounges. Please leave them alone.
  21. I heard that stewards can provide extra hangers. Just ask.
  22. It would be the second renaming for this ship.. The original name was Super Star Leo.
  23. I was told that NCL reads the comments that we make on Cruise Critic. Hopefully, they will take what we are saying into consideration, and make corrections. Passengers don't want staff cuts, or service cuts, while paying increased DSC.
  24. Make these money back requests while still onboard the ship. Once your cruise ends, and you disembark, it might be harder to get a refund.
  25. Shorex could print a simple statement on all beach ticket envelopes, that water shoes are recommended .
