  1. Regarding elevators, one of the smallest books ever written was, Elevator Manners.
  2. Cozumel is the best port to watch pier runners.
  3. Several years ago I was visiting SF on business and our group visited a Dim Sum restaurant in China Town where the food was placed on a conveyor belt and you just picked the items you wanted. That was a great unexpected experience, chicken feet and all.
  4. I felt safe on my ship's sponsored trip to see some wildlife, however I would not venture outside the cruise ship area.
  5. Great job with your trip report and photos, please stop by and remind us when you sail in December so we can follow along.
  6. When visiting 2 years ago, I apparently didn't pay enough bribe money to the chair guy because when I returned from the swim up bar my lounger was gone, but my belongings were on the sand.
  7. Yes, I usually cruise 6 to 8 weeks a year and this year 0, looking to cruise on an MSC ship.
  8. Whenever I visit the Bursars Deck and don't get the requested results that I wanted, I polity ask the desk attendant for their card and ask him/her to initial and date the card. If they refuse I ask for a supervisor from the back room and go from there, FYI on most RCL that is where security is located.
  9. When I was in Aruba last year there was a trolley stop just outside the port area, (end of the line) the trolley was free and when you get to the other end of the line there is a little shopping area RX store, ice cream/soda shop. After a 15 minute break the trolley heads back to the cruise port, the one problem is most of the shops and stores were boarded up. Most of the activity is now located in the hotel/condo area.
  10. If you are going to use this service several times during the cruise I would go with $5.00, the guys in the kitchen will remember you.
  11. A couple of years ago I got on the wrong bus in Aruba, the driver was waiting for one more passenger and he thought I was it, well I got to see Harrison's Cave for free instead of paying to go downtown. As an excuse I was hung over, hot and was not paying attention.
  12. Harry, as for the heavy doors you encountered on your short cut, the reason they are so heavy is that they are fire doors.
  13. On my last cruise I was able to switch my bottle of wine for a six pack of beer by seeing the concierge in the Diamond Club.
  14. As for the Daily Planner, I did a b-2-b recently and had my room guy put the Planner inside my cabin because I noticed passengers helping themselves to the Planners that were in the mail slot.
  15. Last year on the stop to Curacao I was able to ride the bridge when it opened, and was able to get some nice photos. When I was there the power source for the bridge was an outboard motor. Thanks for the info about the walking tour, now I have something to do on my next cruise,
  16. Embassy Suites on 17th St. was my go to place for many years, but the hotel needs updating badly, now I stay at the Riverside, Los Olas.
  17. When I attended Cats last year after the intermission only about half the audience returned for the 2nd half.
  18. Harryfat1, RCL bought the wine as is, FYI good champagne uses sugar cane in the fomenting process. Looking forward to your day in Curacao, when I was there I did not take a tour just walked around the town.
  19. Thought I would provide you with some useless information, earlier in your report you had mentioned getting free champagne. The champagne RCL was providing was a cheap Sauvignon Blank wine with a sugar substitute for the bubbles.
  20. Following along, enjoying the commentary and photos. On a previous cruise I was gifted one dinner at Chops and I was able to trade the dinner in for 2 lunches. Worked out great, my wife and I were able to eat in a pay restaurant for free.
