We were on the Vista at the end of August and yes it has Gelato in the same area as the desserts. From what I saw it appears to be some type of a portable unit but still produces great gelato !!
The last week in August we sailed on the Vista and Deon was the CD. Yes, they did have Quest. If you have never had Deon as a CD he is the best. ! His Atrium parties for Studio VIP and White Hot were amazing !!
While I appreciate the fact that the Hero's lounge shows sporting events, it sems especially over crowded during football 🏈season. If there is a game that you are really interested in and want to "sit" rather than stand you should plan to arrive very early to claim a spot !!
We sailed on the Venezia last September 2023 which included three Canadian ports. I live in the hot "South" and was really looking forward to cooler temps and fall colors but the September sailing was way too early for any type of cool down. I did enjoy our ports but the weather was just too warm. Due to Carnival's very limited sailings into Canada, in 2025 we have chosen to book with another line that sails mid-October . .
On the Vista this week and yes we made it every port but our on shore times were shortened at each stop. In St Thomas today and departing at 2:30. Our first time on the Vista and may be our last.
I'm on the Vista this week. Yesterday our first port at Amber Cove we were late arriving by about 30 minutes. No concern at that point but then that afternoon there was an announcement followed by the notification that a $50 credit would be applied. So far there I haven't heard any type of upraising from the passengers.
Many people do bring costumes and enter the contest. The costumes range from very detailed to basic and comfortable. There will be Halloween themed activities thru the week including Thriller dance class, pumpkin scavenger hunt, scary movie trivia, etc . . . Lots of fun !! 🧛♂️
I'll be on that same sailing on the 24th and sure hope that we are given advance notice of issues/delays. Waiting until we are onboard is a bit too late . . . .
