  1. Last year we had a good experience with Hertz out of FLL with drop off at Miami cruise port. Upon return we took the Budget shuttle from port and picked up a car from Miami airport to FLL. We had a problem where they did not ask us if we wanted the prepay tolls and got about 12 citations for the one day after we got home. Afterwards they adjusted the total and I believe their toll policy has since changed. In July we decided to go back to Budget because of their much better terms in Orlando. On cruise day we dropped off early around 9:15, because we had FTTF, and because the Magic had been embarking early in Port Canaveral. While there the Budget shuttle would not take us to the port even though 4 or 5 of them went back and forth within a 45 minute time frame, because they told us that they were still disembarking the other ships. At around 10:00 we decided to uber our way to port. By 10:15 we were all checked in and by 10:30 we were on the ship. Other than that it was ok, their availability of full size cars was low on our way back and had to get a mid-size instead.
  2. On the Magic in July the Mille-feuille was to die for...I don't recall the full name but it was offered once at lunch time, on one of the first days.

A couple of weeks ago we paid $10.00 for umbrella with 2 free lounge chairs. Not sure if it's the same all the time.
  4. We were there mid July a few years back. Didn't really use the balcony much. Even though we tried to "get our money's worth" nothing beats the 360 degree views of glacier bay from the top open decks. For us even in July it was a little chilly to just sit there. We preferred walking along the promenade deck from which we were able to spot some whales and eagles.
  5. Based on my daily from last week it really was on Wednsday.
  6. We forgot our card in the cabin last week and she offered to look up how many we had purchased from our account...I guess they have access to our statements.
  7. I do....from last week.... but as much as I have tried I have never been able to upload anything on here. Something specific I can look up? 2nd elegant night was Wednesday August 1, 2018.
  8. How about letting us all in the loop when you find out?
  9. We always do YTD because we don't want to adhere to a schedule on vacation. We might be back late from a port day, extra time in the pool area or just not wanting to rush. Turns out we mostly go at the same time every night between 6 - 6:30 and usually have the same wait staff and same seating area.
  10. They had it on the Magic last week.
  11. We had a similar situation on the Magic a couple of months ago. Upgraded to balcony on deck 7 from OV for a little more of what you paid, then got an email for an upsell to Lido deck for less than $40.00 total. We didn't take it. I had thought about it long and hard before taking deck 7 where we wanted to be. Loved the fact that we could go up or down 2 or 3 flights of stairs and be in the middle of it all. Proved to be a good decision last week as the first couple of days of our cruise the elevators were pretty jammed up.
  12. How did you book 2 years out? I am looking at Carnival's cruise schedule right now and there is nothing after April 2020, except Panorama out of L.A. Thank You
  13. Just back from a great Magic/Eastern Caribbean cruise and received this offer. I don't have much experience with Carnival. Trying to book and I get like a $20.00 for 2 people total discount, compared to not using the offer. Am i doing it correctly? Also I was previously warned not to use the early saver rate, for refund/cancellations reasons and this offer seems to require just that. Is it viewed as not much of a deal? Thanks
