Adventure of the Seas March 17, 2018 JS1100

IMO a Jr. Suite is close to the same size you get for a typical hotel room. There's room to "run" around in or at least not be bumping into.
You also get double points for cruise nights.

I’m in that same cabin next month. Can you repost the pictures please, as they are not viewable. I’m very concerned about all the comments I’ve heard about the layout and the glass on the balcony being high and sloping outward. There are no other cabins available on that sailing. Thank you so much!

Loved it except for the sloped glass was what allowed people to look in from the gym side. The sloped glass didn't impair the view for us at all. On the Adventure these cabins eliminate the hated metal substructure that encompasses all the other balconies on the ship. My only hope is that they've purchased the correct left wall when viewing the ocean!! The other issue that I didn't realize till viewing the pictures from the gym side looking into the balcony is the partition was irridescent and one could see body forms on your balcony more clearly than one might think. Think, I like to sunbathe on my balcony. Not a good mix.

we were the 3rd people to stay in JS 1100 week of March 17-24. Was wonderful. So convenient to the Solarium and WJ. Wonder if they've permanently solved the problem of having been the end of the former Peek-a-Boo Bridge, we experienced a lot of peeking. The divider they used was the correct one and then the slopped railing made it so very easy for others to look into our balcony.

I'm not trying to insult anyone's intelligence but if you are trying to book a try sweet you have to book it nonrefundable refund?

B&J did you try "Forgot PW" and subsequent registration with your email address?

I tried that before calling them. Thanks.

So they inactivated your husband's account and gave you his points? 136*2=272
For us their merger combined our accounts and points and they tell us the only way to fix it is to have one of us get a new number and re-enter the entire history.
-
So.....I go into the website...I now have 272 points and am listed as Diamond+. My husband’s account is now inactive, he has no cruise history and he has zero points!!! We have the exact same sailings and we both should each have 136 points and Diamond status!!
We called several days ago and they said since my husband’s account is “accidentally” made inactive they will have to get with a supervisor and give him a whole new C&A number so they can start over and correct the account. We said that was okay as long as we got it corrected.
Nothing had changed on the account so we called again today. They still show my husband under his old C&A number and have now changed my C&A number to HIS new account number....and I still have 272 points!!!
They promised to have it all fixed within 24hrs. I will believe it when I see it!!!
Ten business days and still waiting. Same EXACT situation but my account is the one that was "wiped" out.

My cruise history has been restored.
Emailed Friday, restored yesterday (Tuesday). Have yet to see any sort of email acknowledgement. Not even the common automated "we have received" sort.
Thank you. How did you get the ball rolling? I called and got a designated person. She promised to email as well.
-
Has anyone who lost their correct cruising history and C&A status has it corrected? I was told 7-10 business days and nothing yet.
-
Did you find the taxi prices higher than the last time you were in P.R.?
We did the same Jan 2014 and 3 weeks ago and pretty sure it was the same.

Pretty sure I saw Mexican hot cholocate on the buffet in the Windjammer for breakfast. It was in the same pots used for soup.

happened to me March 17 because of magnets.
We had ask about my bag because DH was delivered and we're told I needed to go down to security and open my bag for theme. I felt like a criminal had no idea why. I was asked over and over and over if there were any liquids. There were none. No spray bottles, nothing. Those were in DH's bag which had cleared.
I even left the magnets in the original packaging just in case because we keep running into wierd situations like a "sinister" picture frame in my caryon.

On my June 2018 cruise, there was still a savings if a person who booked refundable switched over to non-refundable, until 2 days before the final payment date.

perfect. Thank you. Let's hope that stays that way for our Jan '19 cruise.
-
Odd that you mention the suitcase held by security for alcohol. Same thing happened to us on 3/10 Adventure cruise. No liquid at all in the suitcase. We finally fetched it around 9am on the first night.

I know you said it backwards at first so I fixed it for you. This is actually not true unless something has changed in the last couple of weeks or so. If you originally booked a refundable rate and want to switch to non-refundable, they reprice it and you keep the same confirmation number. I just did this a few weeks ago.

thank you. I do think that if we were to do some more comparing people would have a better base to become knowledgable. Is it indecent to ask how long between original booking (refundable) and then non-refundable and if you were able to save.
-
You can not change from a non-refundable to a refundable. You would have to cancel it and start over

too late to correct that. But yes I do mean from refundable to non-refundable.
-
Has anyone who initially booked non-refundable early on (July '17) and switched to refundable closer to sail date saved money? We booked 22 months out and as I have never seen a last minute deal have a hard time believing that doing this will yield savings.
Or has anyone who booked non-refundable actually paid the change fees and changed to another sail date and/or aother ship and been able to save money doing so?

On the same sailing. We originally booked in an obstructed balcony. Upgraded to a JS during the end of KSF promotion for 4 of us for $1,500 total. $1,300 seems like a lot, but current "retail" price difference is about $2,500 for 3.
Considering there are 20 or so full suites still available for our sailing, I'm hoping I get an upsell call into one of those. Not holding my breath, but I'd probably jump on a fair offer!
I'm trying to familarize myself with the name of all their sales. What is the KSF sale and is the current one called BOGO50? When are the typical sales.
(I do understand how the "sales" work and hoping I can take advantage of one before the Nov 4 final payment date.)
