No didn't cancel. We'd have lost all the money. We figured we'd wait and see.

We're going to wait until Wednesday and see what's going on with the weather. Hopefully we can fly out on Saturday 🙏. But worst case senerio we'll cancel the flights and drive. If we leave right after he gets home Friday night we should make it ok. Hopefully it doesn't come to that! Because we have dogs to get to the Kennel and other things to do before we could leave.

Oh I'm praying! I've been planning this vacation for a year and 4 months😆( that's when I booked it)

Let me start by saying I purchased insurance through royal. We're in south jersey and flying out of Philadelphia Saturday afternoon. Layover in Chicago then on to Ft Lauderdale. We cruise on Sunday the 11th. Now with Debbie coming through I'm nervous. What if our flights are canceled and we can't get to the cruise port. And no driving is NOT an option too long of a drive and my husband has to work up until Friday. Does the insurance cover cancelation if we can't get to Ft Lauderdale due to weather? I'm not familiar with their policy. We always purchase it but haven't needed it.

We cruise in 9 days. Freedom of the seas ( my favorite ship). I purchased the key. Should I be receiving an e mail soon? I thought I read that they e mail you with an earlier boarding time? We'll be at a nearby hotel the night before. So I would love to get a really early start and enjoy as much as I can of the money I've spent on this cruise lol.

Well we were on the sailing out of Galveston when hurricane Harvey hit. Royal told us the night before to fly out because the cruise was a go. Needless to say we were trapped in a hotel with little food. We hadn't planned on the expenses and we were trapped there for 5 days. We couldn't leave because roads were flooded and the airports were closed because they were basically under water. After 5 days we finally found a van to rent and drive from Galveston to South New Jersey. It was over 30 hours. We only got reimbursed for the crusie. We were upset 😡 BUT now we look back and say hey remember that horrible experience. I vowed never to cruise Royal again. I booked a crusie the following year with MSC and guess what, after that we were back with Royal haha. Could they have handled it better...Lord YES! But it is what it is . We ate our losses. The worst part was driving home on roads that were completed washed out and getting turned around constantly by police saying the road is worse further down ,you have to turn around.

Please don't yell I know I should know but it's been 4 yrs. I just checked in on the app this morning. Cruising August 11. When will the cruise documents be available? I work at a school and I like to print out a bunch of luggage tags at home and take them to work and laminate them. I consider it a perk for the lousy pay haha ( it's ok I've worked there almost 24 yrs I'm allowed to say that). Thanks. And I did try to search it but I got all sorts of things other than what I was looking for.
