  1. Since they started having set times for the shows, they only make those “special “ drinks at those times. I think it’s because they want people to attend the presentation and subsequently order those cocktails. If you befriend the bartender you can get “unofficial “ special drinks (they call them a different name - hence my “Something Different “ and “Something Special” drinks… On that note, other passengers are taking “my” spot at the bar. I’ve had to relocate to Crooners.
  2. It was set up in the piazza, across from Good Spirits. It wasn’t advertised, just there!
  3. I’m not even convinced they won’t split before they start…
  4. I can’t remember if I posted these. I wish I knew how to play slots. It looks fun. But stressful.
  5. My favourite bartender is hustling today!! He is great. I made his life easier and just got a Blue Moon. I’ll be back later for his special drinks!
  6. Got over my crab shack disappointment very quickly. Went to sushi at Vines (casual dining). Excellent!
  7. I heard a rumour about a North American tour!!! LA would actually be closer for us than Toronto. Hopefully the dates work and we can actually get tickets!!!!
  8. Update on Crab Shack (which I’m seriously not happy about). I specifically asked if it was specialty dining when I did the $80 to $90 upgrade. I was told yes. The Princess website lists it as specialty dining. Apparently it’s not. It’s a “special event “ and not included. Seriously?
  9. I have lucked out this sailing on sharing tables. I’ve met some great people and had lovely conversations. It’s not always that way. I wish they had a sharing option for specialty dining as those alone meals are definitely weird!
  10. On the galley tour yesterday, the chef said that the menus were created by head office and implemented fleet wide. So, the food on sapphire today is the same as the food on discovery today, etc. I never knew that. I never feel like I have repeats across ships, but apparently that’s the case!
  11. Forgot the menu picture, but here is breakfast! I did an experiment this morning- usually I’m happy to share a table and get seated immediately. Today I asked for my own table. There was a few seconds of back and forth but I was still seated right away and, since I was alone, the waiters were fawning over me. Chatting, checking in, joking, it was a great experience!
  12. After the game shows last night I headed up to Skywalkers. It was hopping in there. Dancing may have been involved. Drinks may have been consumed. I may have made a lovely new friend who I will meet for lunch today. He is from Portland Oregon and is an excellent dancer! (No pineapples 🍍 involved)
  13. After paying $11(!!!!) for Advil at the ship store, I went off to Churrascarria for dinner. I should say that I go to one in Vancouver regularly and live this dining concept, so I was very excited!!! I didn’t take pictures of the salad bar as that felt weird, but I can assure you that it was fantastic!!! I could have (and probably should have) made my entire meal from the salad bar offerings! The meat was endless, and delicious. The lobster bisque was amazing. That Brazilian bread…yum! I was so stuffed I couldn’t eat dessert! Drinks were Coconut Batista, Pineapple Mint Caipirinha, and Limoncello.
  14. Those of you onboard…do you find this ship FREEZING???? I’m literally shivering constantly. Am I getting sick? Just old?
