I have a T/A but I look first on the Princess site & if I find a stateroom that I like I may book it & then contact my agent who has always giving me a much better price. Another advantage of a T/A is on Princess their may by staterooms that don’t show as available. I’ve got a bid in for an upgrade to a Mini Suite on the Discovery Princess but the Princess site showed none available & now it shows sold out. With Princess you can also see the airfare before you make any decision. Tom😀

FYI…I paid for the wi-Fi before the price went up. I may buy the Plus Package, once I’m on board the ship,as I can pay with my OBC. If I do that I’ll be refunded what I already paid. Tom😀

I’m on the April 3, 2024, Solar Eclipse Cruise from San Pedro & there are still staterooms available. It’s a special cruise, that someone from Cruise Critic, got Princess to change the itinerary, to make it a special Solar Eclipse Cruise. If your bib was excepted, How soon prior to your cruise were you notified? The bidding site says it can be as little as 2 days. Thanks! Tom🤔

What ship were you on? Have you cruise with Princess before? Iv’e had 35 cruises with Princess & having 2 lines for the MDR at night. I’ve never seen more than 1 dinning room opened for either Breakfast or Lunch. Suggestion about the plugs in your stateroom is to do like I do & that is to post a question in advance as to the number of plugs & where they are. You may find someone like myself that has posted photos of the plugs & location. The lamps can’t be moved because of a safety reason incase of high seas they don’t move which could cause a serious problem. Thanks for your post. Tom😀

From my TA…Many times they hold staterooms back even it shows sold out. I’m on the April 3rd cruise on the Discovery Princess where it shows no Mini Suites available but I have a bid for one, so I’m not worrying about it, except I don’t know how soon to the cruise they notify people. Perhaps other people that have had a bid excepted will post how soon to the cruise they were notified. Tom🤔

I’m on the same cruise as yourself & for myself I will check to see how long the lines are & decide what I want to do. Remember that will be another day so that might make a difference in how long the lines are. Here’s our schedule. We arrive at 2 pm until 6 pm the next day. You’ll see that we are there the next day until 6 pm & last tender may be around 5 pm but they will get everyone back to the ship, from my experience, as I’ve been there many times, plus they may be using local tenders that can hold much more people. If you add someone to an existing reservation that has one of the drink packages do they also have to have the same thing & does their reservation have to be exactly the same as the person with the existing reservation? Thanks! Tom😀

I’ve just made a bid for a Mini suite upgrade on the Discovery Princess for the Solar Eclipse cruise on April 3, 2024. Does anyone currently on the Discovery know what the difference btw a regular Mini Suite & a Premium Mini Suite & where the locations might be? Any photos appreciated. Thanks! Tom😀

I have a bid for a Mini Suite on the Discovery Princess.. I see that there is Mini Suite’s & Premium Mini Suites? Whats the difference btw the 2? I see about 5 different categories of Mini Suites & I assume it relates to location. Here's 2 photos I found but they both look the same to me. The 1st photo is a regular & the 2nd is a deluxe. Any photos if you stayed in one appreciated. Tom😀

The deluxe balcony is my 1st choice as you have a nice sofa in the stateroom. Here’s my Deluxe stateroom with a sofa. Tom😀

I never had one confiscated. It’s always in my carryon. Since I just returned from the Emerald Princess, one thing that I always do is to tale photos of the plugs in the stateroom, for anyone that wants to know. I was in a balcony stateroom. Since it’s an older ship there are no plugs in the lamps. Let me know if these photos are helpful. Remember there are plugs where the old TV use to be & if you bring European adapter you can use the one that is on the table too. Tom😀

If you’re Elite with Princess it’s FREE & it doesn’t matter where your stateroom is. I’ve stayed from Inside to Balcony & the laundry benefits are the same. Yes one of the perks of a Suite is free laundry. Tom😀

I was just on the Emerald Princess, 14 day Caribbean cruise, & did an informal survey as to what if Princess enforced it & most people felt that the MDR would be practically empty. What do other people feel it it was enforced? Tom🤔
