Since I love the Caribe Deck, as on this deck the balconies are partially covered/uncovered. Remember that there are extra plugs, if needed, above where the TV use to be. Tom😀

    You can also do what I do & that's create a list of people interested, with names & stateroom number & turn it in when you board the ship. Here’s photos from our Chef’s table that I organized on the Emerald Princess. Tom😀 Tom😀

    Enjoy your cruise. I was born & raised in Portland in the SW hills on the other side of Council Crest. I came to San Francisco in the Navy. I still have some family in Portland. One cousin owns John Helmer’s Haberdashery on Broadway across from the Hilton Hotel. Hopefully you’ve got some time to visit our City. Tom😀

    I was originally in C707 cat BD. Now I’m in C617 cat B2. The only difference I see is the location. My preference, I’m on the Caribe deck, since the balcony is part covered/uncovered plus it’s larger. That deck is always my 1st choice, if available. If you know of any other differences besides the location, I paid $200, to be moved where I thought that my stateroom might be different with a sofa/loveseat. Lesson Learned that it’s apparently only on the Royal Class ships that might have the Loveseat which is a nice addition. Tom😀

    I paid $200 in bidding on the Emerald Princess. not realizing that my bid was only for a different location, not an upgraded stateroom with a Love Seat. I just spent $200 for nothing. This is a good discussion so the terms are explained. Tom😀

    I’m in a balcony stateroom on the Caribe Deck 10, cat B2, Emerald Princess. Anyone know or have photos on the outlets available in the stateroom? Is their any USB outlets in the lamps? Thanks! Tom😀

    That’s a good question. I had a deluxe balcony on the Royal Princess earlier this year & that had a sofa. I’m also interested to hear what other people say. Tom😀

    Do you know if any of the category of Balcony staterooms on deck 10 contain a sofa? I upgraded/bid on my cruise next week on the Emerald & went from a cat BD - B2 & I think the only thing I received was the location. Earlier this year I was on the Royal Princess & had a deluxe stateroom & that had a sofa. Tom😀

    Yes I’ve been at many Chef’s table on a 7 day cruise. Just remember to go to the PSD desk when you first arrive. Perhaps someone like myself will make a list of 12 people for the Chef’s table, like I do & turn it in when they board the ship. Tom😀

    Am on a cruise soon & my Medallion app shows the following: EMERALD PRINCESS 09-Dec-2023 Check-in Window Deck 10 Caribe 10:30 AM - 02:00 PM Cabin C617 Followed by a bar code that looks something like this, & then the following: Proceed to Green Lane Have your Medallion and travel documents visible upon arrival. Tom😀

    I’m sailing on the Emerald Princess soon & I assume that the Bar Code on my Medallion App is scanned by staff when I check in at the terminal. I assume that they don’t read my Medallion. Tom😀
