  1. There may or may not be a Covid-19 vaccine. There is no vaccine for AIDS, even after 35 years. There are treatments for people with AIDS, but no vaccine to prevent it.
  2. I wouldn’t plan to cruise until next year. Prices will be very low because the cruise lines will want to fill their ships. There is no need to book or reserve until a few week before sail date.
  3. On March 15 I filed a dispute with Citibank. On March 21 Citibank provided a conditional credit. Today Citibank sent a notice that the credit is now permanent.
  4. Bring back the “Yum-Yum” man in the MDR. Also the man who plays the chimes to announce dinner.
  5. File a formal dispute. Legally you have 60 days to do this. Then the credit card company will deal with the cruise line.
  6. Don’t wait for a refund. When you dispute a credit card change, most credit card companies will give you a conditional credit immediately, then they contact the merchant for resolution.
  7. When you dispute a credit card change, most credit card companies will give you a conditional credit immediately, then they contact the merchant for resolution.
  8. A lot depends on the ship. Crew shows are still there. Service is usually the same very high quality. HAL seems to have eliminated the man with the chimes to call you to dinner (fixed seating time, only). Also missing is the “Yum-Yum” man giving out mints, etc. after dinner in the MDR. The best new addition is Lincoln Center Stage, a classical music quintet. Above is as of the last cruise in March 2020. Everything may change if and when cruising resumes.
  9. We have all seen individuals (middle age, under 70) on cruises who are morbidly obese. Should these people also be required to have a Doctor’s note to cruise?
  10. If cruise companies go bankrupt, their stock becomes worthless.
  11. about, not abuse! Sorry
  12. Please tell me some more abuse the cross country Amtrak trip. Did you have a bedroom? Could you stop off along the way on the same ticket and pick up the train the next day? How were the meals?
  13. You might want to consult other news sources in addition to TV. www.nytimes.com
  14. Would you take a cruise in the next year? I am thinking that I want to see a complete worldwide recovery from the virus, or development of a vaccine, before I take another cruise. I just cancelled two Future Cruise Credits.
  15. At Kona pier, there is the Kona Trolley. $2.00 per person to ride all around - Shopping centers, beaches, etc. The full loop takes about two hours. There is no narration, however.
