  1. Thanks so much for the input. The only FV available are on deck 7 so not sure.
  2. My wife and I are thinking of booking the Family oceanview stateroom with veranda for 2023 and would love opinions on this cabin from anyone who have any knowledge. I know it is in front of ship and wondering how windy it gets on the balcony? It would just be for the two of us but would like the extra room.
  3. Been looking at March 2023 ABC cruise and the Aqua cabin is $5,000.
  4. Just to be sure you know the Celebrity ships appear under the letter R for Royal Caribbeanon the dashboard.
  5. We had to cancel our May 6th cruise due to close contact of covid son. Would like to know how long before you received the FCC because we have a cruise picked out and don't want to place money up for the $900 deposit.
  6. I believe there are more people concerned about testing positive and having to quarantine in a non balcony cabin perhaps even away from your partner than actually getting covid especially if you are boosted.
  7. I currently have $420 in FCC right now. I will have an additional $4350 as soon as Celebrity processes my canceled cruise and returns the amount to my account. Is it possible to book a new cruise with just the $420 and when I receive the larger amount apply it to the booking?
  8. I had to cancel my cruise of May 6th the other day and am awaiting the FCC to come back into the account. I know this could take weeks, but I see a cruise we want for March of 2023. Is there a way to book it pending the FCC?
  9. Booked with TA and they handled the cancellation.
  10. My cruise is May 6th and my son who lives with us just got tested for Covid and is positive. My wife and I are negative at this point but may not be in a few days. Just wanted to remind people that since our cruise was this Friday we have until tomorrow to cancel the cruise. You do not count the day of sailing. By doing so we were able to utilize the cruise with confidence program. So back to the drawing board to find another sailing.
  11. I would be interested to know how the cruise was overall besides covid info.
  12. Well I just got off the phone with Celebrity and the person advised May 5th of 2023. would be the expiration of the FCC because its one year out.
  13. My wife and I are a little stressed about our upcoming May 6th cruise on the Equinox. We originally booked a cruise for May of 2020. Obviously that was canceled by Celebrity. We elected to receive the FCC credit and then on January of 2021 we booked this cruise sailing May 6th of 2022. If I decide to cancel I will receive FCC credit again. What would be the expiration of the new FCC?
  14. I have an apple 10 phone and wondering if the unlimited streaming package I will be getting will enable me to receive and make calls while on the ship? I have an ATT cell plan. I assume I will be able to send and receive text messages. Do I have to call ATT and advise them I am going on a cruise? I know they will try and sell me a short term plan and not sure I need it.When onboard do I have to put the phone on airplane mode . What about staying away from roaming charges? What about when I am on tours and visiting ports? Sorry I just am not proficient with this topic. Any assistance will be appreciated.
  15. Well this certainly is good news and I feel a lot less stress. My cruise sails on May 6th on the Equinox. Curious on the fact about getting a refund or FCC credit if you have to cancel due to covid. Since I paid for the cruise with FCC from our May 2020 canceled cruise, would I actually be able to get a refund or they will just replace with FCC? Also what would be the new expiration for FCC?
  16. As of May 1st, 2022 the celebrity covid coverage expires. Lets let that sink in. Any customer travelling and needs to get a covid test 2 days prior to sail date and gets a positive result cannot board the ship and cannot cancel the cruise. Therefore you will lose money paid. Royal Caribbean who is the parent company has already extended the coverage till next year. Lets let that sink in. Celebrity as of this writing has not and after speaking with Celebrity on the phone they do not know if they will. All I am looking for is for Celebrity to extend the cancellation coverage if you test positive prior to the cruise. If you decide to still go the rest is on the customer. Without this assurance from Celebrity I will not gamble with the $4500 I have paid.
  17. There has been a lot of discussion on this and the bottom line is Royal who is the parent company has extended their cancellation policy to March or 2023 if you test positive for covid within 10 days of sailing and Celebrity has not as of now extended to match the parent company. I don't want to hear about insurance as Royal has extended already. I booked my cruise in January of 2021 for May 6th of 2022 after having my May of 2020 canceled for obvious reasons. I am not looking for anything but the ability to receive FCC if I test positive for covid prior to sailing. I don't have the appetite or funds to throw away $4500 . If I go on the cruise then that's my choice. Why should I have to scramble to find insurance 20 days from sailing when Royal has done the right thing already. Celebrity let's do the right thing here.
  18. Amen. If Celebrity does not extend like Royal the publicity will hurt them a lot more. My wife and I are Elite with Celebrity and have stayed loyal for years. That will change if they fail to do the right thing.
  19. Royal Caribbean is the parent company of Celebrity and they have extended the dates till next year. It woud be shocking for Celebrity to not follow suit.
  20. What happens if on the 3rd sailing day you either test positive or determined to be a close contact and you are advised to quarantine in your cabin. You therefore cannot go out and cannot visit ports etc. Does Celebrity provide a refund or FCC for that part of the cruise? Also if you are booked in Aqua and they move you to the quarantine do they give you a balcony cabin?
  21. One thing to consider is availability of different table sizes. We had same situation and when we tried to book we could not get times we wanted because there are fewer tables for 2. So we took turns booking. I booked one night and our friends booked the second night for a table of 4 and got the 6:00 pm time we wanted. There was a slight difference in total cost and you can transfer OBC from one to another once onboard.
  22. I will be on the May 6th sailing and have the streaming internet. I will need to use it each day and hoping it is decent enough speed wise. Can you please advise from your experience if it is okay.
