We are currently on the last day of the TA on Beyond. IMO, problems with noise depend on where your cabin is located. We are on deck 8 in a Sunset Sky suite overlooking the AFT and haven’t experienced any creaking noises at all for the entire cruise. YMMV, but personally we wouldn’t cancel.

I took my first cruise when I was 12, so I guess I got the 'gene' from my mother. 😁 My husband took his very first cruise (at my insistence) and loved it. We now share our hodophilia usually sailing on TA's as the ships have become the destination. Thanks for the “word" of the day. 💜

Cancel a cruise..?! 😳 Heaven forfend! 😁 I was just trying to convey that we didn’t need a Butler but we were paying for one regardless.

Considering the price we booked a Sky Suite for over a year ago, and at that time included a Butler and now does not, we should be sailing in a CS. It's not just upper suites that have been affected.

Some cruisers don’t care for Starboard or Port and only book the Aft. No problem with smoke there. 😉

I've been following this thread and it’s been interesting. We don’t care if there are no more Butlers for the suites we sail in. We cruise for specific ships and their itineraries. And since we never had a use for our Butlers, we always hoped that they would then be able to provide better service to other guests that really needed them. The mini fridge issue won’t have any affect either, as we never use it. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. 😉

2014? Well We sailed on X in 2014 and I don’t recall there being a Pandemic which caused cruising to stop while the cruise line continued to have debts to pay. I guess that just might have something to do with the menus not being the same. This situation is only temporary. IMO.

Agree, the robes are very nice. With regards to the PJ's, if they are washed in cold water only and hung to dry they won’t shrink. At least our haven’t.

That's interesting about your butler, since the butlers took turns serving the Tea and munchies in the afternoon. 😉 It could be fairly quiet in the Retreat at times. But on the plus side, we did meet some very nice people there.

One of the reasons people decorate their doors is so they can easily find them. 😉 Besides they enjoy doing it and others usually enjoy seeing them. It’s a long walk if your cabin is on the Aft of the ship…

There are cameras on each floor that record 24/7. Guest Relations could assist in finding the culprit. 😉

We used to do decorate our door on all our cruises. 😊 Just be advised not to put something on your door that you wouldn’t want to “walk away”.
