People here often shoot me down for saying I like the "napoleons" served on the buffet. They are better than the Bitter and Blanc and Warm Chocolate Melting cake! :p

You take San Diego and I'll volunteer for Ft Lauderdale.
For the price of submitting a detailed evaluation for a comp cruise I'll also volunteer to cover the sailings from Long Beach and L.A.
-
I would hire teams of cruise "mystery shoppers" and have each ship in the fleet "shopped" once a month, more if needed, to evaluate the Carnival product from the perspective of the guest to ensure product quality fleet-wide.
And yes, I am available to volunteer! ;)

Was this tour on your cruise back in June or more recently on the Mexico schedule?
-
Good for you! Looking forward to getting your take on the new menus too.

I like my PVP since it is a person I am familiar with and he always calls me back within 5 minutes after I call. It really helped having a good PVP earlier in the year when I got 6 price drops in two weeks. Reading the CC boards, people were on hold for a long time calling Carnival during this period, but my PVP was always there and able to get me a price drop.
Your experience is much like mine. Also, in my first conversation with my planner I explained that I would mainly be utilizing them as an order taker and to ignore the times when they see I have been on the web site. So far so good!

yes, please write the review! :)

Are you serious? What should they do? Sail along at a leisurely pace with two dead bodies on board? I can only feel for the family as well as any crew who had to deal with this situation. Tragic.
Yes, the ships have morgues with chilled lockers for the storage of corpses.

Why are Thing 1 and Thing 2 NOT wearing underwear??
That's the "point" of the whole Thing.

Here is the link one link for you. http://www.galveston.com/magiccam/
Seems to be getting more lights on the horizon.
Sent from my SGPT12 using Tapatalk 4
thanks for sharing the link :)

Sure enough, on the Magic camera you can see the faint lights of Galveston in the distance.
Hi Cindy,
The link please?

Past my bedtime and I would rather watch paint dry.
Which London do you live in, Kentucky? The program isn't shown live in the U.K.

Jimmy Fallon had fun with the Seuss on Carnival announcement in his monologue last night. Jimmy called the Seuss Breakfast on the Triumph the "Crap in the Hat."
-
Today it's the cruisers that are seasoned, not the food. ;)
I still have a good time!

I am sorry, where did it say they were keeping the brunch and using the steakhouse for ships with one dining room. I am glad they decided this.
Sarge made the suggestion Carnival serve the Seuss breakfast in the steakhouse and I agreed that would be a solution.
-
After next year there won't be many Spirit class ships left, but they could use the steakhouse.
This is the answer.
-
Most years they are one in the same as we sail Christmas week.
-
Maybe they are programming lower fares for all of us! ;)

I plan on bringing a cloth napkin from the buffet and use it as a place mat...
What makes you think cloth napkins will still be used in the buffets?
-
If this was about cost cutting they would do away with the menu altogether and have singing, dancing waiters tell you what tonight's selection was.
You are so right, Sarge, and the waiters would look brilliant in uniforms designed in Seahawks Blue and Green :)

Meatloaf was always made form the weeks scraps and ground in my house.
Same way on the ships.

I remember years and years ago waitstaff serving side dishes off of trays at request.
I recall this type of service as well and it has the benefit of being a nice touch of added service while reducing kitchen labor and food costs. I miss it.

Sun. Warm temps an shorts!!!!! In December!!!!
Good for you!! I hope you'll write a review on your return as we sail her in February.
Have fun!

That's exactly what it sounds like.
For those mature enough to recall it was at Horn and Hardart's where the opening scene for Marlo Thomas as "That Girl" was filmed buying a bowl of hot water for a nickle and then pouring ketchup in it make tomato soup and eating the complimentary saltine crackers. It was Marlo's father, Danny Thomas, who lent his celebrity to St Jude's Children's Hospital and of course Carnival supports St. Jude Charities. The circle of life exemplified by Carnival!

I wish I had thought of that! ;)
