  1. Agree. Prices have increased so much this "sale" isn't viable.
  2. Agree! I was talking to a couple who bragged the brought one carry on and I guess didn’t realize that clothes may look clean but absorb perspiration!! Had to back away!
  3. Never said it is wrong- but based on my personal observations, I see this. As long as people wear clean non smelly clothes it dosen't impact me!
  4. The offical dress code is published . However, men at night wear long pants with polo or collard shirts- no shorts unless you are a young child. Ladies casual dresses or slacks with tops. Formal nights we wear cocktail attire. Some people spend all of their time in the casino and never dress- they also eat dinner at the buffets. We enjoy celebrating our cruise- lived in sweats for almost three years time for new clothes (that fit!)
  5. Having sailed a few times on NCL, unless you are in the Haven a horrible crowded and poorly laid out ships. The pool deck had people laying on towels on the floor and they had no main theatre- so many games and activities were held in the small center of the ship. Food was a true disappointment. I only liked the Jazz club when leaving the Haven. SP restaurants tasted like the olive garden- Also the crowd was diverse, as with celebrity.
  6. You can cancel a massage once on board with 24 hours notice- so if cheaper- book and rebook.
  7. Luminae is only for suite guests. Depending on the ship- some concierge class guests can dine in the MDR on boarding day.
  8. Since you dine in luminae, blu IMO not nearly as good. More comfortable in Luminae and the food better. But we also enjoy dining in specialty restaurants during our cruise- and miss some dinners in luminae.
  9. Martini bar. Fun to watch the "show" that the bartenders put on. Lots of comfortable seating in the bar area- music and dancing also available often. The heart of the ship.
  10. No plastic covers on her furniture? A person like that shouldn't travel. lol
  11. We have always booked the location of our cabin or suite. Sometimes you get what you get and we wouldn't be happy with a location under the gym or above the theatre- so for us, to save a few dollars not worth it. Also since more people are now sailing and the ships are pretty full, you are unlikely to get a great stateroom or suite with a guarantee. It would ruin my trip if the location of the stateroom was poor. Not worth it for us. We like to relax in our stateroom- IMO more then a place to sleep and shower.
  12. The windows do have some condensation. They also are battered by salt. You can always request a seat away from the windows if the "dirty" windows upset you.
  13. Nobody on purpose. Or those who understand about poultry borne disease. However some restaurants or chefs do not prepare poultry properly and might not clean their knives and counter area thoroughly when preparing and serving poultry. I have received and sent back undercooked poultry at a restaurant.
  14. Much prefer well done meat- it is safer for all as you can get very ill from eating undercooked meat and poultry. Many restaurants have warnings printed on the menu.
  15. I do not recall that the Reflection didn't have Luminae. However, IMO no comparison dining in Luminae to Blu. We did Blu a few times, and "got over it" after about 4 cruises. Blu on the Edge class ships in a poor location- part of the restaurant is near a busy hallway . Never found the food "great". We are able to modify the menu in Luminae-
  16. We are elite plus and use the laundry service. For underwear, PJ's, and inexpensive polo shirts no problem. We hand wash swim suits. For any good clothing, we send out for dry cleaning. My DH has good shorts, shirts and slacks as do I, and we prefer dry cleaning- Clothes come back pressed nicely. We have a misc fund when we cruise for dry cleaning. We typically bring good items to dry clean, unless we spill something on them, or want to wear another day. I really like pressed clothes. Don't enjoy looking like a sack of wrinkles- and yes, I do bring downy spray to reduce some wrinkles.
  17. Supposedly they have a limited # of packages that they sell- but I always book before so I cannot say for certain. We also never book sushi reservations as we do not eat it. Enjoy
  18. Love the allure. I would urge you to consider a central park view cabin on deck nine. It is considered an interior cabin, but you get a beautiful view of central park with a large picture window. The cabin is very bright or of course you can close the shades. A great choice IMO. Oasis class ships our favorite
  19. We typically take the unlimited dining package- if you are having a problem with the website, just call and all of the rates and information will be provided. We really enjoy dining at the specialty restaurants nightly- service excellent and we rotate restaurants depending upon our itinerary. As soon as you board, go to one of the kiosks for dining and make your daily reservations. They will help you with specifics. I believe the first night is booked for you, but you are free to make changes based on time and availability.
  20. what about the seniors who have poor bladder control? that is why I am not fond of of hot tubs and pools on board. However they use so many chemicals it helps to protect us. Then we get UTI's from the chemicals.
  21. Haven't been fans of blu in years. tables weren't private for two. A row of tables just a foot apart . People chime in private conversations. Also food blah. If we aren't in a suite now, we would take a well located balcony cabin and dine in specialty restaurants nightly. So much better. We used the Spa facilities once- and do not care for the "perks" in the room. The atomizer smells and is terrible for my allergies- the tea not to our liking- The shower head not worth it! Also, typically we get a better located balcony cabin. This is my opinion others might disagree.
  22. She is extremely independent. Talks to people around her regardless of their age. Not the teen club type.
  23. That’s why if we weren’t in a suite or balcony cabin we stayed in Central Park
