there are no dress codes whatsoever.this is freestyle cruising. le bistro insists on collared shirts, im ususally in jeans, tennies, and assorted t shirts, long and short sleeves. besides, im not crazy about le bistro, so i avoid that, even though we get a free meal.

enjoy your vacation, and what to wear at dinner should absolutely be the very leastof your problems or concerns.. bon vboyage

Do you know which specialty requires pants so I can prepare my teenage son, we are on bliss?  Thanks!

Careful. We had a cruise on the gem at sail away price. Price dropped and I contact NCL and was upgraded to window from inside. Trouble is that they dropped prices again and they wouldn’t budge. Explain the one upgrade only. So push for everything you can get. You only get one shot. Push for room upgrade and obc. Of course if ships sold out certain opportunities are gone.

I got a 3 category upgrade , let’s see is the panic makes it go down more

We show up around 10:15 to avoid some of the crowds at security and check-in. Priority boarding starts before 11:00. General boarding by Group Number (first come first serve) starts before 11:30.

When you embark, take care of your entertainment reservations at The Social (Deck 6 mid-ship) or using one of the touch screen kiosks. Comedy shows are preformed in a small venue and will sell out fast.

The Garden Cafe buffet opens at 11:30 (Deck 16 forward).

The Local Bar and Grill will open at 11:30 (Deck 7 mid-ship).

The Observation Lounge opens at 11:30 (light lunch only - Deck 15 forward)

The Taste and Savor Main Dining rooms open at 11:30 or Noon (Deck 6 aft)

The American Diner may be open at noon (they are transitioning right now - Deck 17 aft)

So you have two make reservations for comedy shows for the whole week,  can this be done before or only after boarding

Yes it is Chill Island. After getting off of the ship, turn left and cross the bridge. There is live music near the food and concession stands but the beach itself is relatively quiet. The idea here is to "chill" and relax. The pool is in the middle of the island, a two minute walk from Chill Island. I think they've done a good job with CocoCay so far. A day to hang out and relax or play in the water.

Thank you!!  yes we are looking forward to it in 2 weeks especially floating bar  🙂
