Is there a dedicated, private space on Independence where they hold the Chef's Table dinners?
Mary
I believe it's held on one of mid levels of the big staircase at the back of the MDR.

Hell yes I remember Bobby Rydell - listen to him on Sirius / XM radio. Unfortunately eons ago my 45 collection was discarded along with my 33's. Got married - left the collection at Mom & Dad's and they disappeared!!!!
How was lunch yesterday? Was feeling a little warm here....not sure if I caught a bug or something else!!

Independence of the Seas: August 15, 2021 departing from Galveston, Texas
Above is from Royal, but in checking website all week, the first date showing up available to book is Aug 29, 2021. Been wanting to check those first 2 cruises as well for pricing and availability. Anyone know what's up with this?

Liberty is returning to Galveston to resume sailing on 8/26
I think Liberty comes back the end of September.

Take advantage of the light holiday traffic and go at least to League City. You will be fully out of Houston. Personally I would just drive to Galveston and sleep in the morning of the cruise. Have fun.
We have stayed at the Hampton in League City multiple times. Very short drive the next morning and lots of choices for eating the night before the cruise.

I wonder how many might still be in business when things get started back up. EZCRuise was always our go to parking spot as well.

We saw 2 big pans of wings (can't remember which flavors) on Serenade a few years ago, and they were quite good! Now if they would have had the old WJ fries with the crispy coating nearby, would have been perfect!

Yes, I saw you booked a B3B. We would love to join you guys, and try out the Edge. Trying to talk Sherri into that, but no luck so far!!

If a balcony cabin is an option, I always try and get an aft facing cabin on deck 10. I had a few people warn me about noise from the Windjammer before I booked in on Liberty but I never heard a peep and absolutely loved the large balcony and fantastic views.
Love the aft cabins....especially the 2 corner afts! Only found WJ noise to be an issue on Radiance class ships, and even that wasn't too bad.

To the past Liberty travelers, what deck was your cabin on and would you recommend that or not?
From a cost perspective, Deck 2 looks good, but . . . The cabins appear to be under the dining room which does not appeal to me. I prefer to be between cabin floors, so deck 7 is looking like a good choice to me.
Been on multiple decks from 7 to 10. No issues on any of those. Always prefer to be on the higher decks.

The filet at Giovanni's is excellent. Definitely worth a try.

OPEN PLEA TO THE CDC: ALLOW PHASED CRUISING NOW
It's about time!!! This continuing to punish cruise lines and not giving them a chance to start back up is ridiculous!! I think they have proven in Europe and Singapore that it can be done and any situation that arises can be dealt with too!

Do pants really matter at this point? Wearing a mask "might" be the only requirement!

CATS 🙀 will be playing on every ship...no need to monitor/enforce social distancing.
You just let the Cat out of the bag!!

I agree with a better port experience on the smaller ship. And we love the Radiance class ships. Definitely more bells and whistles on Ovation, but you can't beat the intimate feel on Radiance, and the smaller crowds too....both on ship and in port.

Don't think I saw another post with this link, but for anyone interested this will notify your Senators and Congress person to try to let the cruises lines get started. Hope this is ok to post this link!
