  1. Sorry for asking so many questions, just want to make sure what I need to do so not to have problem through Custom or have all my luggage thorough inspected and all messed up. 1. The form in post#48 (Aussieflyer) I need to download it from some website or it will be given to me on the plane? 2. If I marked "yes" to any of the questions, I need to go to the "declare" line? 3. All the items I declared "yes", I need to take it out and put it in my carryon before getting to Custom? I usually bring many different kind of OTC medicine (since I have a 27 days cruise). 4. If I have some OTC medicines (for allergy, upset stomach, headache, joint paint, etc.) and 2 prescription medicine , do I check "yes" on item #1? 5. If I bring one bag of ginger candy (each candy individual wrapped) and 1 bag of pre-mixed coffee (each small package individual packaged), do I check item #7? Thank you!!
  2. Earlier I uninstalled and installed her app again. By doing that, wouldn't it bring in the latest version? She has iPhone 13. I just sent an email to askoceanmedallion@carnival.com and asked them about her log in problem and her blue status problem (she is Elite). Hopefully they will fix both of the problems. For me, my app now shows I can purchase at 50%. Since I read on CC that now the price is the same regardless I buy it ahead or buy once on board, then I rather buy it after I get on the ship. I have about $1,000 OBC remaining even after the gratuities, so I rather buy it onboard to use up some of the OBC.
  3. Just deleted the app and reinstalled; still got the same message "sorry our server...". So I tried to go in with her booking number, and successfully log in. The status still showing as "blue".
  4. Thank you for all your information and warnings. I read so many posts that stated the "declare" line can be very long, which is why I said I don't want the hassle. So, it is better if I don't bring any food items, so nothing to declare. Is there only 2 "types" of line, one for "Nothing to Declare", and one for "Items to Declare"? For example, even if I only have a small bag of ginger candies (for motion sickness) or just one prescription medicine (Lipitor for cholesterol), I need to mark "yes", then go to the "Items to Declare" line?
  5. I downloaded the app and plan to apply tomorrow. My sister and I both need to apply. Each of us need to download the app to our own cell phone or can just use the app on my phone to apply for both of us (one at a time)? Thank you.

  7. My sister and I are both Elite. My app shows correctly with the "black" status and my sister's app shows her as "blue" status. So I told her to log off and log in again, maybe the status will change if the app has recently been updated. Two days ago, she logged off. When she tried to log in again, she kept getting the message "sorry, our server is down....". Tried again this morning and still getting the same message. Anyone have the same problem when try to log in? Thank you.
  8. Oh, didn't think of that. Thank you for pointing it out. That is okay, to save the hassle, I will not bring my coffee. I will try the Jarrah coffee. If I like it, before going to the cruise terminal the next morning, I will go back to the supermarket and buy more to bring back to the U.S.
  9. Thank you for posting the form. Packaged dried coffee is not on the list and doesn't fit into one of the categories; then, I guess it is okay.
  10. I will pass. 😊 Thanks to information from Wombat706, we decided we will not bring any food or snacks (nothing can be more safe than not bringing anything at all). We will just go to the supermarkets to get all the things we need for the cruise and on shore excursions. Also can buy some Australian snacks, nuts, coffee, etc. to bring home. Our cruise disembark at our home city, less than 30 minutes to drive home. Can bring back as much goodies/souvenirs as we want (from Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, and Hawaii). ☺️
  11. Thank you so much for taking the time to give such detailed information!! Greatly appreciate it!! Will print out your directions to take with us.
  12. Thank you. Is Wynyard Railway Station and Central Railway Station within short walking distance from the Four Seasons Hotel? I prefer not to take transportation if at all possible.
  13. The free bottle of wine is only if you "actually" have specialty dinner the first night or only need to "make reservation" on the first night, but the reservation can be for any other nights of the cruise?
  14. Thank you for the site. I have only one day in Sydney, and don't know if markets by my hotel (Four Seasons) sell coffee similar to the kind I want (Vietnamese coffee, creamer, sugar all already mixed in the package).
  15. The only "food" item I bring with me on every cruise is the individual packaged Vietnamese 3-in-1 coffee; one pack per day. I don't like the coffee being served on the ship, not even their specialty coffee. I don't know if I should bring it this time. If I don't bring it, then I am stuck with the ship's coffee. But bringing it, for just one package (20ct) coffee, I would have to declare it. I read on other thread that the "declare" line is very long. https://www.amazon.com/Vinacafe-Instant-Coffee-2-Pack-sachets/dp/B00Q7DKXKQ/ref=sr_1_45?crid=1TJETSV0MPJTQ&keywords=3-in-1+coffee+packets&qid=1673228277&sprefix=3-in-1+coff%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-45
  16. Thank you for the link and everyone's information. To be safe, I will throw away my snacks before getting off the plane. I have one day in Sydney before getting on my cruise, I will go to the supermarket in Sydney to buy the individual package snacks (to bring onshore to snack during my cruise excursions).
  17. A friend told me he thinks anything that has "egg" as ingredient is not allowed into Australia. For example, dried pasta, cookies, etc. Is that true? He said many years ago he went to Australia and brought Italian dried pasta, and it got confiscated. I always keep 2 packages of individual wrapped lemon cookies in my purse in case of hunger. So, do I need to throw them away before I get off my flight?
  18. Can you please let me know where you heard of the new policy that "on-board pricing" is the same pricing as "pre-purchase on Medallion net"? I am Elite, and plan to buy the 4-device plan on the app for my early April cruise (22 day) as soon as Princess fixes the error that will give 50% discount to Platinum/Elite members. But if the pricing is the same, then I rather buy it on board, because I have a lot of OBC remaining even after paying gratuities. Thank you.
  19. Sounds like we have the same type of T-Mobile plan. I do what you described above every time I am at port. Always immediately switched to T-Mobile plan and always free of charge to use. Yes, best time to catch up on emails... for free.
  20. Princeton123211, Thank you so much for your detailed information!!
  21. Thank you. I think we will just stay in Lahaina for shopping and eating.
  22. Thank you for all the suggestions. If the town is so close, then we will just stay in town for shopping and eating. I will do some research on what other things we can do around the area (within less than 30 minutes walking distance) and where is a good place to eat.
  23. I guess not. We are doing 27 night Sydney to L.A. on Majestic Princess.
  24. I sent my request in yesterday morning, posted to my booking in less than 30 minutes.
  25. Sorry, forgot to mention one thing. We don't enjoy going to the beach.
