  1. We are booked on Azura for Christmas 2023 too -- not sure if we will do it and may move it to a Caribbean one early February instead. I will be looking at this thread with interest 🙂
  2. Does everyone on here live close to us ????? We were in Bridgemere the other week so visited Trentham Gardens today. Had a lovely 2 hours or so and did some much needed retail therapy. Hubby still in shock 😉
  3. Hubby and I were talking earlier and were saying that of we head for the Caribbean it would have to be PO as the value for money is far greater than any other cruise line we have seen.
  4. I know .... our cruise on Edge was a special anniversary so we paid more than normal. Could not afford that all the time and as we approach retirement it may be one more blast before we have to stick to a rowing boat on fhe local park lake ........
  5. Couldn't agree more --- we just LOVED EDGE and would cruise in her again in a heart beat. We too had a sunset veranda cabin which was a normal cabin and it was amazing. It was our last cruise before Covid, so we were well and truly spoiled .... definitely our favourite ship ever
  6. To everyone out there celebrating Christmas -- have a great time 😉 Ho ho ho
  7. Well we went to a local garden centre today and Christmas was in full swing. Came home and neighbour next door but one had the Christmas stuff up in the window .............. merry Christmas !!!!!
  8. We loved Silhouette too, but found that we fell in love with EDGE and that class is now our favourite. We didn't fancy the IV cabins either so moved our booking to an aft cabin. These are more traditional and we loved it - it was the best decision we had ever made
  9. A good excuse - stick to it 😉
  10. We always book an aft cabin as we love the location - it will be quiet, and we've never found that it has been too choppy or noisy. I suppose you always take a chance when you book saver and whenever you book you may find that someone gets a better deal than you. We once did a land holiday and had booked 18 months in advance. Got to the hotel and the balcony / room location was terrible so we asked to be moved. Got moved but still not brilliant. Met a couple in what would have been our ideal location .... they had booked for half the price 2 weeks before the holiday. Felt brassed off, but looking back I suppose its the way things go. Hope you manage to have a great cruise and you find that aft cabins really are not that bad.
  11. Yeah, finally managed to log in to the site .. was beginning to take it personally!!
  12. Is that the one with Marci Pierre White on? We can still report back to you when we've been. To be honest it will be our first cruise since August 2019 and I think we have moved this one twice now !
  13. Hello, lovely to have you both back on here again 🙂 Which cruise are you on - we are on the half term cruise in May / June to the Fjords on Britainnia. We may not be on the same one - if you're lucky - but we may be able to wave to one another when we get off !!!
  14. We were considering Princess on this new ship for 2024 but think we will pass at these prices for now.
  15. We had originally booked a Christmas cruise for Dec 2023 but we are thinking of moving it to a Carribean cruise in the February of 2024. We've seen a Christmas cruise on Aurora from Southampton for Christmas and New Year 2024 which looks really appealing. Have never sailed on her but she reminds us of Oceana and we loved that ship - it is also adults only which is a bonus. There is also the same Azura fly cruise and we like that ship too. Just wondering if anyone has done a Christmas cruise from Southampton - just a bit worried about the weather - and if anyone has been on Aurora for this occasion. Thanks
  16. This made me smile --- we are off to a Brewers Fayre for a snack lunch at today too ------ not sure if the photos will be too exciting enough to publish though! Will raise a glass to you 😉
  17. Just seen that you had edited this one ---- tell Charlie thank you ---- must have been hard to write that one 🙂
  18. You say the nicest things --------- We haven't brought it home with us though !!!
  19. Well it is wet and miserable here ... hope the sun is shining for you !
  20. Happy birthday Brian. Pretty grim weather here so it looks like a shopping day .. oh dear, what a shame. Hubby now hiding wallet fast !!
  21. Will be thinking of you and raise a glass ... or two ... or more 😉
