Hi, I have a hotel booked in Brickell and totally forgot about transportation from the airport.  The last time I stayed there was in 2017 I believe and I flew into FLL, and took a reaonably priced shuttle that was $15. I dont want to spend a lot on taxi, and trying to find an Uber driver is just something I dont feel like dealing with at the airport.  So I did research and see there is a metrorail from the airport to downtown and then transfer to the metromover to Brickell and my hotel is like a block from there.  

My questions, is it safe?  This would be at 3pm so during the day.  Also, how far of a walk is it?  I am sure to get to the station at MIA its going to be a little.  I fly in on Southwest and I think that is terminal G.  I am trying to do this cruise fairly inexpensive and thought this would also be fun.  I like riding trains especially into NYC.  

Any insode information would be appriciated!  Thank you!!

Hi,  I am not a smoker, but have a friend who would like for me to get them some.  Is it better to buy on the ship or in port?  I will be going to Grand Cayman.  If you know the pricing?  It would be for marlboro.  I tried to search and did not see a specific thread with my question.  Thank you in advance!

Hi!  This will be my second time in Europe (first time I was 11 so no real experience) I have been doing some research and am trying to build a packing list and wanted to reach out and see what advise can be given by port as far as a dress code for women.  I will have a light shawl with me to cover my shoulders but I like to have shorts on when exploring. I do not like to be hot so I would like to avoid longer pants.  Also, I dont particularly like dresses on tours.  I know some places you need to have knees covered as well I think to go in a church?  Can anyone shed some light?  Ports are below.

Hi!  I am thinking about booking a extended aft balcony for a Mediterranean on the Legend.  This would just be my second Balcony.  The first was on the Horizon on Lido deck forward.  It was AMAZING!!  I have only done interior or porthole otherwise.  I guess my big concert is that when I was on the Valor and in the comedy club aft, i actually felt like I was going to be sick, the ship was just almost vibrating its hard to express.  I have been mid and forward for cabins on all different floors.  Just never aft.  Not sure if on the Valor that one time was just a one time thing? I always head to the aft pool on each cruise and never have a problem there.  Its 12 nights so I just want to be sure that I wont feel too much motion.

Going on the Conquest for 8 nights. The last cruise I was on was B2B 3 or 4 night each. Looking for a more current menu since it has been a while since I did a longer cruise. Thank you!!!! I know there was a gentleman who posted menus, user name begins with a Z but I cannot remember the whole name.

I also had a cruise cancelled without notification. Luckily I am always on looking for price reductions and noticed. It was Carnivals fault because I was booking with a reduced deposit and traveling Solo. So they only took 1/2 the deposit even when I ask are you sure about that? I insisted and they said no no its ok. So once I saw that I called and they fixed everything.

So this time around I am doing the opposite of what I normally do which is fly into FLL and shuttle it to MIA. This time I want to shuttle from MIA to either FLL or a hotel in FLL. I have looked at SAS, QLS, MJS and a few others and they do not seem to do MIA pickup. I found really cheep air to MIA rather then FLL but want to make sure its worth it. I dont mind the shuttle since the flight gets in around 10Am and cannot check into hotel yet.

But I have always been fascinated by the Titanic and although the Queen Mary is bigger I am sure there are similarities in parts of the ship!! I cannot wait to take the tour!!!

So I will be staying at the Queen Mary before a cruise and I was told you can walk to the terminal in the AM? Does anyone know this to be true? What I am actually doing is getting off one ship on a Monday and staying at the Queen Mary for 2 days then getting on another ship. So really I need to find out if you can walk from the terminal to Queen Mary and then Queen Mary to the terminal.

ADDITIONAL details- I have looked on Google Maps and I know how close the hotel is to the port. I just am not sure of there are barriers or if there is a specific path? I don't want to get run over walking with my luggage.

A quick look at Google Maps shows the two locations are less than 2 blocks apart.

they gave them away in 15, as well for the journeys cruises. I have the best PVP ever, as he called and told me the offer. I took an 11 day cruise for 170 bucks. best part was he booked me in a 4J handicap cabin. It was the last one of the ship. He said there was a good chance I would get bumped from the cabin since I wasn't handicapped. Sure enough a week after booking I received a call, asking If I would move to a cove balcony free of charge. It was an awesome cruise.

Nice. My PVP does not call or email me back so I just go through the 800 line. I was referred to someone that is ok but I have never had anyone like this!!

Looking at the Carnival Glory 1A on main forward. Cabins 2202, 2208 and 2212. They all have a different shape/size maybe? I was not sure which best to go with? Or if there is a better 1A. Going solo and trying to keep it cheep!!

Was on the Rascal Flatts Concert cruise and the gift shop sold Rascal Flatts T-Shirts (bought one). But on only the day of the concert (if I recall correctly). So if you want a shirt, check out the gift shop the day of the concert. HOwever, it was not specific to the concert. It was a general Rascal Flatts shirt.

Well that's something I guess. Cruise specific would be really great but we shall see. I love Tim McGraw[emoji173]!!!!!

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – the room was very quiet. When looking on the map, there is a blank area to one side. I found out one day what this is the hard way. The black area are cabins for entertainers. We had several comedians on that cruise and that is where they stayed. One afternoon I was not feeling well and wanted a nap. Well no go because the 2 comedians were literally on their beds with doors open talking to each other. One had a very deep voice and when he laughed the room almost shoot. besides this very quiet.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - no

Any specific problems with this cabin? - as someone else mentioned, there is only one outlet by the desk. I like to charge my phone overnight and use it as my alarm clock so I had to charge as much during the time I was in the room. I never had a full battery lol. Also I found that once the twin beds turned into a king, you still had to sleep on the twin. I thought there would be something put in the middle to bridge the gap but no. I was solo and was excited for a nice big bed. No luck there :(

Any other comments? - I like being close to the front. The only time I go aft is dinner and pool or comedy shows. Plus its good to get some movement in during your cruise lol

If you are using your passport as proof of citizenship, it must not expire in the next 6 months at the completion of your cruise. You can use another form of proof of citizenship, like a certified birth certificate or passport card.

My dad cruised last year and the day he got off the ship, his passport expired in 9 days. He was fine. I have called numerous times to Carnival and they suggest 6 months for a passport. I am cruising at the end of the month and come back March 4th. Mine expires 3 weeks later. I am still going because its still valid.

I do not know much about the concerts or performances that Carnival has and was wondering if the artists or ship sell any kind of memorabilia... t shirt or something like that like at regular concerts. Thanks in advance!!!

So I did a search and there were some old posts on this so I thought I would ask again to be safe.

I will be in Freeport and Nassau end of Feb into March of this year. I would like to get ornaments from both. Does anyone know if you can get them and where? When I was on my cruise in Nov-Dec they were everywhere since it was right before Christmas. I personally do not want to go to Atlantis or the straw market as I will be alone and was a bit uncomfortable with my mom with me. Suggestions are appreciated!!

So I am planning one night in the steakhouse. Never been and want to treat myself. I have the cheers program for the cruise but know you can get a free bottle of wine on the first night. I do not like these wines so I would opt to get a bottle I do for the % off. But how would this work with cheers? Also, I would be going to dinner by myself. Any other solos's do this?
