  1. I know that several years ago, water fitness classes were hosted by an independent travel company, and led by private instructors (not Royal staff.) In such cases, these classes were not open to all guests, only to those who booked their cabins through them.
  2. I've never noticed anything unusual about the butter, but I do know I love the pumpkin seed rolls! So much, that I usually have three each night at dinner, and after the first night, the bread basket is always full of pumpkin seed rolls, and no other bread. 🙂
  3. We were booked on this cruise as well, and opted to take the refund. Disappointed for sure, as we loved the itinerary, and also planned to stay an extra week in Hawaii post cruise. Oh well, now we are just vacationing in Hawaii instead; I won't complain. 🙂
  4. Very interesting reading your thoughts about the Harmony. We cruised Harmony for the first time 3 weeks ago. The biggest downside/ difference we noticed is the crowds, as we are used to mostly Radiance class.
  5. We were on the Jan 28 sailing. Not sure if it is always the same, or how frequently it may change, but this is what we had: Day 2 and 6 were formal nights Day 3 Western Day 4 Caribbean Day 5 70's / disco night. Last night was white night
  6. I'm interested in reading your report. We were on this same cruise also.
  7. I will be following this thread and interested to hear your feedback. We just got off the Harmony this morning.
  8. Where can I get morning coffee on the Harmony other than the Windjammer? We will be on Deck 10 forward, and looking for the closest place without having to walk a mile. 🙂
  9. Looking for non-alcoholic ideas on how to use the free drink vouchers?
  10. Can't speak specifically for age restrictions, but I will assume they will verify, and deny participation if you don't meet the requirements. Our horseback riding excursion in St Martin had weight limits, and yes, everyone had to step on a scale prior to boarding the bus.
  11. Great sail away photos! All of your pictures really have me missing the Summit. It was definitely one of my favorites!
  12. This is great info, thank you. Can you elaborate a bit more about why it's not good to be on a cruise before drydock? We did not realize this. It didn't occur to us to wonder where the ship was going after our sailing, or why. We just like the itinerary.
  13. What a great story! Look forward to following along. I loved my Summit to Bermuda sailing last summer!
  14. Someone in our roll call group on a different social media site, is speculating that our Oct 1, 2024 Quantum sailing will get canceled. It is still showing as an upcoming reservation in my cruises, as well as being offered for sale on Royal's website. This itinerary is from Vancouver to Hawaii and we are planning to stay in Hawaii for the week following the cruise. In my many years of cruising, D+ with Royal, I've yet to experience one of my reservations being canceled. So, this has me curious. What reasons would a sailing be canceled, and how far in advance would you be notified? And do they offer any perks for the inconvenience? Any insight please?
  15. Totally agree. I love how these threads get so far off track. CC is where I go for my reading entertainment. 🤣
  16. Good question. I have only been on one Celebrity cruise so far, the Summit, and I probably saw less than a dozen kids the entire time. However.... I'm following your logic. On Royal's Vision of the Seas over Easter break, the ship was full of families / kids. Since the Vision doesn't have all the fun, kid friendly activities that the mega ships have, they made their own fun and games. Running up and down the stairs, running through the lounges, playing tag, throwing balls across the centrum. These were mostly young teens, pre-teens. I came to the conclusion that maybe there wasn't enough entertainment on sea days to keep their interest.
  17. Seems like a great time was had! And I look forward to reading your final thoughts.
  18. I guess I've been under a rock, because I always thought Royal had a ship sailing from New Orleans. 😆
