Hi as Jetstreamer said you won’t need anything to get off the ship other than your sea pass we were there from Southampton in July and never removed our passports from the safe the entire cruise (Stavanger, Olden, Hellesylt or Haugesund)

Iona does really seem to be prone to bad weather I assume that is an occupational hazard when the ship is as large as she is Can only hope for better weather next week

Iona appears to have gone of script again She is showing as currently berthed in Alesund having missed Stavanger altogether and as she only arrived at about 7.00 pm Uk time I can only assume they will stay overnight as they were due to be there tomorrow Anyone have any idea the reason for missing Stavanger We are on the next mystery tour leaving next Saturday (8th) and considering they have already taken Geiranger and the sail past of the Seven Sisters off us I am beginning to wonder just how little of the cruise we paid for we will actually get

I booked our cruise for july in April 2022 and the booking confirmation clearly states that we leave Hellesylt mid morning to sail to Geiranger

Also flying in from Belfast but the day before eastern airways have cancelled their flights to Southampton and Flybe have gone bust this as far as I know only leaves the Aer Lingus (emerald airlines) flights remaining i would suggest booking your flights asap

Doing this trip in July the departure time is stated as 6.00pm

The email i got today states that the cruise I have booked for next July will no longer call at Geiranger but will stay all day at Hellestylt They also say they will do a sail past of the seven sisters They state operational issues but don’t go into detail

The Norway itineraries on Iona do really appear to be a lottery We are booked on her next July and would like to hear from P&O as to why the ship has such a poor record of missed/alternate ports They have just emailed us to say they won’t call into Geiranger due to operational issues although at least today they did the sail past of the seven sisters Anyone else selling a product with so many bits missing would find themselves attracting the unwanted attentions of trading standards Maybe it’s time for P&O to consider swapping the itinerary to the like'sof the Britannia

I have friends on this cruise Today was to be Hellesylt and Geiranger but the entire fjord was cancelled due to weather and Flam was the alternate They are staying overnight in flam and sailing out at 4.00 am They are also missing Haugesund and having 2 sea days back to Southampton
