We are booked in 13220 in January, just curious, were you able to see the fireworks from the balcony?

Unfortunately NCL doesn't have "Do St. John's on Your Own" option, so we either do it ourselves or...
I did find a local transportation company that will pick us from the ship, take us to the ferry, (they will already have our prepaid ferry tickets available for us rt), have another taxi waiting for us on St. John's give us a private tour (3hrs) bring us back to Cruz Bay and for the return trip.
I should say that there is 15 of us, with two over the age of 75. I am truly considering this option, do you think $70.00 rt, is worth it?

So I will be able to see the fireworks from a mid-ship, deck 13, port side? Thanks.
-
I would love to hear from anyone that has used them too!!! Thanks!!!

There will be approximately 5 large ships in port that day. Since the ferries leave every hour, does the ferry EVER get full so that you have to wait for the next one?
-
Hoping to get some information from those that have creatively open these doors while in port, so as to not be a hazard. We have 4 balcony staterooms in a row and it would sure be nice when in port to open them up.

Does anyone know of any private companies that will provide private open air taxi tours of St. John's that you can reserve ahead time?
The ship excursion does not allow time to shop in Cruz Bay, which part of our group would like to do. (We are a group of 15). We don't have much time in port either, approximately 6 hours to make it to St. John's and back.
Any information will help

Can't decide which one to take for our group of 15, both same price, both will be a private tour. HELP!!!

Is the music really loud and or is it just at a nice level that you can still converse? Also, does anyone remember what time the dancers come out and do the show? We have a group of 15 with a set time of 5:30 each time in the Tropicana Dining room. Thanks.

Coming off the Pearl at approximately 8:30 - 9:00 a.m., will I have time to get to the ferry and go over to St. John's and snorkel/beach, come back on the ferry by approximately 4:00 - 4:30 p.m. and not feel totally rushed? And if I am going to make the hull over to St. John's what is an absolutely must do over there and where is the best off the beach snorkeling/beach? Thanks!!!

Sandy Beaches has not listed their itinerary, the port they are leaving from or the ship they are using. I am hoping that they will be chartering a different ship other than the Pearl. I really like this itinerary!!! Called NCL and the agent didn't know a thing about it, said they are usually the last to know.
-
Sandy Beaches put up the dates for their charter next year and it is January 10 - 17th, 2015. That cuts the January 2, 2015 short by two days, what do they typically do then?
-
Any more confirmation as to what dates the Pearl are being chartered on?
-
If it is chartered from January 10, 2015, then will they also cancel the sailing from January 2 to the 12? That is when I am booked!!!!

Thank you so much for the information, we are going next winter and there is so little out there about this island and tours. We will be a group of 11, (ages 12 to 83) so we will need to go over to the "accompany" taxis by the ferry/cab section to find these vans and make a deal with them to taxi us around the island for 4 so hours? Are their fares government regulated? And did the driver you had speak english? Thanks!!!

It looks like it will be really nice and warm the day we board at Cape Canaveral, are the pools open when we board? Thinking about having my swim suit with me and laying out to get my first dose of vitamin D in a very long time!!! Also, where do we purchase the wine and dine package when we board? Thanks.
-
I heard the parades run twice during the cruise. Do the parades start from one end of the promenade and end at the other end? And, are all the promenade staterooms able to see the parades from their rooms? Thanks!!!!
-
Thank you soooo much for the cost comparison, I have been trying to decide which we should do, pay as we go or get the wine package, and you have made a very readable chart to help me decide. Decision: To buy the wine package. One question does the price of the wine package include the 15% or not?

Need some input, I will be going to Roatan next week with a group of 11. Victor knows that I am a CC, so asked if I wanted to request a guide, any suggestions to those in the know?
-
Can you weat fins while snorkeling? I know that some places they don't allow it because of the barrier reef!!!
-
What did you do on your tour? I will be there in two weeks with my family (a group of 11). What was your favorite thing to do ther, what would you say is a do not miss?

Is this resort on the West End, can you just snorkel off their beach, and what did they charge for using their facilities? We are with Victor's tour in March, and this resort sounds wonder!!!

Do most people just bring the wine in their carry-on bags? 8 to 9 bottles of wine seem a lot to bring on and carry them with you for until the room is ready. Is there a better way than this, we are not trying to sneak it on the ship, just curious as to the most efficient and safest way to bring it on.
